just another vendor reselling the same stock available on aliexpress with massive mark ups.

they even use the same photos as on aliexpress

    2 examples I found within 2 minutes.

Cat Eye sunglasses - $49.99 delivered - before "discount"

the same sunglasses on aliexpress $2 delivered

"vintage" sunglasses $49.99 delivered - before "discount"

    Aliexpress aliexpress $14 delivered

    This is spam.

no attempt to post a bargain.

    blatant reselling.

should be negged to oblivion to have them banned.

      Awesome bargain on AliExpress! Thanks!

    • Thanks for that.
I had a look earlier and thought that those were not bad prices etc., but I haven't been following sunglasses closely and wasn't aware of the aliexpress offers.

private message received from OP -

Hello there. I hope you are doing well. Thanks for the comment on my post for Sunnies Bar, Sunglasses sale. Would be great if you please delete that. It’s a request, as this is my full time business and this is a reputational damage for my business. Yes I am a reseller , but along with that I have great customer service and a number of business do same thing. Right from apple iphones to Daniel Wellington to so many brands, they are all Chinese production. Would appreciate if help with us. I am not hurting anyone by making something available for them. Thanks

OP - this is a bargain website - it is not here to "support your business and help you make a profit by charging buyers more than what competitors charge"

if you thought your posts(at these prices) would assist in sales then you were very mistaken.

ozbargain is a site where people search to find the least expensive prices for goods.

if you could provide prices that are seen as bargains then that would be relevant to the ozbargain philosophy and this site in general.

Representatives are strongly discouraged from unsolicited private message communication to users for any reason, especially for commercial advertising which is explicitly forbidden. However we encourage store reps to respond to private messages from users seeking assistance with a deal that has been posted.

I would talk to a mod about your unsolicited PM, altomic. Asking you to remove your comment is unacceptable.

Negging because much cheaper elsewhere, credit to Member altomic.

Much much cheaper on AliExpress. Dropshipping operations with prices significantly higher than the source are unwelcome here on OzBargain.
Maybe try marketing on Instagram instead, I'm sure there's plenty of millennials there who will love a "Collab" for your store.

Just received a pair of sunnies I bought off this site before the other comments above were posted. Total rip off, the customs label lists them as worth $3 USD, and they came straight from China. Stay far away. Terrible quality.

    • Thanks for the warning. Which model are they please? I've just seen a popup saying …

Not sure yet? Return within 30 days.

      … so keep us updated.

      • Thanks, it was these ones here : https://www.sunniesbar.com/collections/shop-men/products/jac…

I checked the shipping and returns pages (https://www.sunniesbar.com/pages/shipping-return) which actually says nothing about returns. The FAQs page is pretty vague about returns (https://www.sunniesbar.com/pages/faqs) but I'll give it a go.

It's a case of caveat emptor, it's not the end of the world but I'm pretty annoyed the seller is straight out lying about the RRP and quality.

The best I can do probably is pop up in any 'deal' they post from now on and warn others, as well as post to whatever social media presence they have to dissuade any more potential customers from buying from them.

        • Went to their contact us page and the link is still set to whatever shopify template they set up (https://thesunnies.shop/). So no way to even get in contact to request a refund.

          • @jamesnz: Associated OP knows about it …

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:store_representative
            Expected Behaviour
It is recommended that reps respond to comments and reasonable enquiries about their deal, product or service. To assist with this, reps are automatically subscribed their deal posts.

… if all else fails, perhaps reply to his comment and keep us updated.

            • @PJC: Thanks, I tried to contact @Fashionblog through ozbargain but no reply.

I've lodged a dispute through paypal as their intentionally misleading RRP's on the site seem to be in clear breach of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (https://www.accc.gov.au/business/pricing-surcharging/display…). Hopefully that motivates the seller to reply and to remove the misleading information on their site.

              • @jamesnz: It is somewhat perplexing Associated OP has not responded. Keep us updated.

                • @PJC: No reply from OP on here, but I did escalate via paypal and ended up getting a refund for my original purchase price minus the cost of the sunnies on aliexpress. I've been using the sunglasses for 24 hours and they are already threatening to fall apart. Unfortunately it doesn't look like OP has adjusted the RRP's on their site. Lesson learned.

                  • @jamesnz: At least it isn't a total loss for you. Associated OP needs to take OzBargain seriously.

    • +1

damn. and a 5 second google image search would show that these sell for US$3.99 delivered on aliexpress

the sunnies bar didn't even change the name of the sunglasses.

      • Yep, lesson learned! It was an impulse purchase, I was too trusting of the seller. Best I can do now is share my experience and keep other away.
