Yes if you unlock it.
Note the X Spirit has the 3G 850Mz band crippled in firmware, even when unlocked.
So will not work on Telstra. Probably not good for travel?
Also no 2G bands at all either. None of the optus prepaid phones are good for anything other than the optus network. Avoid at all costs.

It seems like they're the same phone except the camera on the Prime is slightly better and that it comes with 8.1 instead of 8.0 ootb.
The difference seems to be just the rear camera…
