Good deal for those with Samsung Soundbars - deal starts on 4/10. The SWA-8500S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit is $50 (RRP is $179). I don't own any of these so can't tell you how good the kit/soundbars are. Would be interested to hear from anyone that does though :)

      I don't think that's reasonable to downvote just because it sold out. Could just be lots of early birds, as opposed to limited stock. Northland had stock this morning when the deal went live.

        The deal never went live in any meaningful way. The price didn't change when I checked it a little after midnight last night, at 8AM no delivery was available. Only click n collect from 2 regional Victorian stores 100km away from Melbourne, and no stores within 200km of Sydney had any stock. Meaning this was a very limited quality deal to begin with. By 8.30 they took the click n collect option. So IMO it doesn’t deserve the 100+ upvotes it had got from people who voted for it way before it ever went live not knowing that they wouldn’t be able to buy one.

    Didnt even realise this was a thing. I have a samsung 551 soundbar thats about 3 years old - always been pretty disappointed in it, the sub just drops out all the time!

        It has happened on my Samsung soundbar too (very rare though). It's very obvious when there's no bass.

    Bargain price! I have been running these rears with the last model 3.1 bar, the M550, and they've been flawless - even as the cats attack the cables incessantly. I certainly paid a lot more than $50. Sound is adequate for rears.

    Im using SWA-8500S with my HW-M550 3.1 (becomes 5.1) for almost a year now. Nothing but a great sound experience so far especially with the latest JW: Fallen Kingdom on UHD. The movie utilizes surround sound like rainfall at the beginning which reminds me of the storm in Tomb Raider and waterfall in Quiet Place.

    If you have similiar soundbar just remember to put in Movie mode and Surround Off.

    I am lookig at HW-N950 at JB but their price is really absurd right now.

      That sounds counter-intuitive that you would turn Surround to Off?

        Surround on/off settings only simulates 5.1 from stereo so it's more like virtual surround.

        Keep it off and let the soundbar decode Dolby or PCM to your 5.1 channels.

            @happykamper: You could try play movie with 5.1-7.1 sounds around Surround Off/On and Mode Movie/Standard

            Mine if I'm using Surround On or Standard Mode the middle channel is missing.

              @lagur: Thanks again. It'd be good to have some sort of test 5.1 input. I know if centre channel missing could impact things like voices in movies. Speakers arrived today, so will have a play around. They're actually smaller than I expected, and don't think they'd be worth paying the original $179 for!

          I am assuming the Sub is included as its not shown in the image but in the description they have mentioned.

    Was waiting for this deal since it was first posted, and I checked just after midnight, was lucky to score one with delivery, just haven’t heard anything further with the order yet. (Still in progress).

    I’m glad I woke up to purchase as soon as it came out, as when I checked at 5am it was already unavailable for delivery.
