Collect 2400 Bonus Flybuys Points When You Spend $60 or More at Coles

60

Just received this Flybuys deal today, has been ongoing but is a little worse off compared to the previous 30% off deal (3000 bonus points for $50 spend). Current deal is for about 20% off, considering 2000 points = $10 off.

Deal should be targeted to your own Flybuys account, exact points/spend will vary but should be around 20%.

Current deal is for Wed 3rd Oct - Fri 5th Oct. Points will only be applied on one transaction above the required spend, excluding gift cards, iTunes cards and smoking/tobacco products.

  • think this would be targetted. my is spend 160 for 1000pts and 210 for 8400pts…

    • Yea it has been added, sorry

  • I got 4400 points for $110. Passing on that because I know they can do better (6600 points for $110 spend) plus I have too much Opal credit

Have you tried refunding your Opal credit? Not to give you ideas haha

      • I have $384 of Opal credit haha …

        • Across multiple cards right?

          • @Applebees332: Yeah; my registered card has $220 but because I keep getting sucked in by these offers from Coles, I haven't used it since March …

            • @kerfuffle: Did flybuys algorithm block future bonus offers after using Opal top up to qualify for these 4 weeks bonus points?
I found all my offers now disappeared from my account - no more $x spend for 4 weeks offer anymore.

              • @bbbbbb111: I don’t know. I don’t do the four week spends as mine’s stupidly high like $110/week

  • Yes I also received 20% of deal last week (for $80 spend) but am able to combine with a spend $50 for 4 weeks for $50 resulting in 38% off for the first week and then 25% for remaining three.

  • What's the best way to use flybuys points ?

I have been redeeming the 10dollirs off every time in Coles ,

is it worth to transfer to velocity points to buy flight tickets

Personally, I convert all of them into flybuys dollars, and then you can pay for a whole shop in one go with flybuys dollars (not just $10), AND use it to pay other stores, like Kmart & Target. Plus if you have a "spend $50" offer, if you have a basket of $52 worth of goods, then you use a $10 off offer, it only counts as spending $42 - but if you pay all or part of the $52 with flybuys dollars, then it still qualifies as having spent $50 (found this one out the hard way).

As to whether it's worth converting to FF points - standard is 2000 points (worth $10 off a shop) into 870 velocity points. 870 velocity points, worth ~ 1.2 cents each = 870 * 0.012 = $10.44 ; so for me, getting actual money off my shopping right now is slightly more valuable than a tiny bit more value in velocity points at some future point. But if you have a specific target in mind for velocity, and these points will meaningfully help you get closer, then by all means take the FF points.

Wait for velocity transfer bonus, then it's decent. 15% bonus

    • Same as Firejacko, i save them up and transfer to velocity during promos. Last promo I transferred 10k flybuys to velocity to get me 3 months of velocity gold status!

  • I got an email for Fri-Tues (Ends today). Spend $90 and get 3,600 points. I’m a single gal, I spend $30 each week at Coles, $40 sometimes. $90 is crazy! Not worth it to get $17.50 worth of Flybuy points.

I got that one and combined with the $50 over 4weeks. I buy things like frozen vegetables, cleaning products, toilet paper etc and it does add up. The secret is to get non perishables you can stockpile, a bit.

      • I was offered $60 for four weeks.

I live in a small apartment, so not much room to stockpile. But some weeks I can do it, buying a Blu Ray/DVD/CD I want or boxes of chocolates for gifts, etc.

I just recently finished a 4 week x $60 promotion. Not sure if I'm ready for another so soon.

        • Things like washing powder, dishwashing tablets, etc can add up quickly.

  • Got 5600 for $110

  • my says 4000 points for 100$
