      • If you play the same game often then an SSHD might be better as it reaches SSD speeds on PS4 after the 4-5th load.

        • screw paying more money on something that only helps a few often played games load fast.
          all or nothing.

          • @Axelstrife: It's not more. A 2TB Firacuda 2.5" is $130 for a 2TB. That's barely any more than a typical 2TB 2.5" drive.

            • @Yuri Lowell: I didn't say it cost's more then the ssd i said screw paying more money to upgrade the standard HDD if it's only going to make a few games faster.

    • Thinking about this.

  • Hnnnng

  • Just bought one. Thanks OP.

  • already bought 2 from previews deal…wtf man

  • +1

Awesome, I can finally move my Steam library to an SSD. Thanks OP!

    • I thought I could too… Turns out I have about 1.5tb of games :(

(Don't play many of them though, so they can stay on the spinning rust)

  • Is this a pricing error?!
Pccg has gone mad at this price!

  • What a fantastic deal!

  • +1

Nice! finally time to get a 1TB of these… only down side is i have surplus ssd's and hdd's now :D

  • Must… Resist…
By the time i upgrade the whole PC i reckon m2 would have come down to this price

    • How much is an improvement m2 over the normal ssd?

  • There might have been one or two fractional cheaper on eBay when you were getting 10% off site wide and on gift cards, but this is a good flat price.

Personally waiting for the 500 GB model to hit near $100 again.

  • Good price, dont have a need to spend 200 on a ssd though… if somebody would like to help me

    • +3

if somebody would like to help me

you dont have a need to spend 200 on a ssd though
      Hope that helps

  • Waiting for same price on ebay so can use 10% off vouchers. Plus cashrewards and will break $180 barrier. Pity i dont really need one.

Someone recommend an external case of my now surplus SSDs? Was just going to buy from pccg but shipping was as much as the case.

  • Bought an 850 last year for $400 for new build, ordered one of these but got a bit sad at the same time :(.

    • I paid $415 so I feel your pain!

    • I did this a few weeks ago (paid less for my first but more for my second). To make you feel better, add the price of the two drives you bought together and divide it by two. You did OK.

  • Finally, now i wait for the <$150 deal :D

  • Aaaand, now it's sold out.

Damm, just got this from MSY EABY deal. 222.25. lost over 20 bucks……

    • +1

      u didnt lose it…
      u didnt save an additional $20 lol…

its still a good price at 222.

  • +3

    And $229 now o.O

    • :( :(

      • Totally… O.O

  • There's always something i want being posted when i'm not on ozbargain. Hate missing out!

  • +3

Damn this would of been good for half my steam library, cant wait for 2tb to be this price lol

    • +1

That will probably take about 1.5-2 years

  • As much as I hate you all for buying the drive I thought I was getting for a 'bargain' 15 days ago at $238 - I think this is a sign of things to come. The floodgates have been opened, and I don't think they will be closed for some time…

    • Yeah I recon somethings up but our $ hit 0.71 against the US so it will take away any price reductions.

      • +2

The level of price drops over the last month has been huge (something like 20-30%) I think something is up and bulk buyers are offloading stock asap to stop-loss if things continue to go down.

    • I thought 266 was great a month ago!

And I only got home to put it in my PC a week ago!

      • +1

By the time i build the pc i bought mine for id say they will be significantly cheaper too. At least they are a great drive

    • This just excess SATA form factor stock. Once that stock is reduced to levels that take into account demand for M2 form factor, the price will bounce back up.

  • Now all we need are some nVidia price drops.. 1080, 1080ti, 2080, is all good!

We'll probably some ram drops for the rest of you, but I got 32gb and running 5870s from about 8 years ago! (Surprising they still run pretty well)
