I recently purchased some white non iron shirts, one poplin and one twill.
They don't feel thin but are almost see through!
It's like a wet tee shirt.
Never had this issue with other brands or my older Charles Tyrwhitt shirts .. Anyone else have this issue or is it just me?
At this stage, I'll swap it for some darker coloured ones.
No issues with my TM Lewin and Hawes & Curtis shirts… maybe just a CT issue.
I got a white poplin non-iron about 3 weeks (extra-slim in a larger size if it matters). Not see-through either.
I wonder if it's a Quality control thing, because my wife laughed when I showed her.
If this is an issue for your body shape/size, you need darker shirts.
As mentioned above No issues with my white TM Lewin and Hawes & Curtis shirts.
I have fair skin and nipples too lol

I had ordered 2 twill white shirts and a blue one. Returned all of them.
White shirts were see-through, like yours. Blue one was too large on the back (larger than others of the same size). No quite happy with the order overall.
Ok, at least I'm not the only one.
I've been happy with their shirts in the past, including a blue one with the recent order but the white was ridiculously see through.
I'll swap the whites for coloured shirts as they are incredible value at $33 each.
Just checked and I have an old white CT shirt (non non-iron)…. No problem with transparency but feels much thicker. It creases like a mofo though.
I ordered 3 white shirts and returned them as well. shirts were see-through too. I have >10 shirts from them (through separate orders) and I am happy with the non-white shirts I've bought

I ordered some white non iron twills last month and they're fine.
Buy TM Lewin if you want thicker cotton. CT Shirts has finer cotton.
