            @silo: Well, only kind of. I genuinely couldn't tell the difference and I really enjoy coffee. So this makes it a super expensive one for me. Just my two cents, more than happy that some don't share the same view!

      4-5 weeks seems to be the go, but I have had good results putting the unopened bags in the freezer after they have degassed properly.

    Very pleasantly surprised by the Decaf Domination. It certainly doesn't have the initial bite and bitterness of a regular bean, however the midpalate and finish is really rich and enjoyable. Great late morning full shot with textured milk.

    I have had mixed reviews on coffee storage. So far I have tried the Aldi coffee beans and they tasted quite nice during the first week. I left the beans in the original package after i opened it and then put the bag in a zip lock bag and then placed the bag in a container, however they dont taste as nice after one week. People often talk about freezing them, how should you freeze them? I drink one double shot a day so a whole kg bag lasts me 4 weeks.
    I wanna switch to freshly roasted beans but I wanna trial freezing aldi beans before I start spending big bucks on freshly roasted coffee. Can anyone link or suggest methods to freeze beans.

    Went with the $35 deal plus the decaf on top. $50 for 1.5kg and i've been paying $56 for 1kg (500g decaf, 500g house blend) from the local roaster.
    Miss out on the monthly outing with the free coffee in shop, but will see how this goes.
