I've been debating on whether to buy an immersion blender for ages. It would be really useful whenever we whip egg whites or cream, but we don't really do soup or baby foods so I fail to see what else it would be useful for. Any ideas?

What's the point of buying this? It's a hand blender, so you can't just attach it to a KitchenAid machine. Aldi is selling the same thing for $20 since Saturday.
