Need a Fresh Car $15k at 0% Financing

Hey pals my lil sister’s car blew a head gasket. It’s a VT commodore wagon so we’re just gonna drive it off a cliff or something but she needs a new car.

A Barina auto is only $15k with 0.9% financing for 3 years but 3 years isn’t long enough. Hit me with a sick deal that’s exactly like that but 5 years?

Cheers pals love your work xx

Can always pay more for a car and get 0%, but means you're paying for it in the purchase price.

No one is lending money with no interest, it's paid for somehow. Generally with a higher-than-normal purchase price.

Now, from a Commodore wagon to a Barina she's gonna be bitterly disappointed. Hell anyone would be disappointed with a Barina.

It's possible to find thousands of cars for under $15k, depends what she (not you) wants to drive.

how much is the cheapest Toyota Camry Hybrid 2018 that is available on a 0% finance.

      • +1

0% was only on locally made petrol models (not hybrid). New 2018 Camry is imported, so no 0%

Haven't had them around since early this year

      • Used honda Jazz or toyota corolla? A nice 2012 corolla surely would be 10k…

if she wants a tiny car, Try Kia Picanto or Rio. should be able to find easily around 15k. with 7 year warranty. you are covered !

      • he's after 7yrs 0% finance more than 7yrs warranty

      • this is really helpful and exactly the kind of answer I was looking for thanks

  • She needs a new car??

Will she even be approved for finance? Automotive lending has tightened recently like all other lending

She needs a used car within her budget.

Holden finance manager said if you have a pulse you’re approved for the 3 year finance deal.

0% over 3 years is 10% discount off price and 7% loan

Why not get something more reliable than a Holden as a replacement for your broken down old Holden.

Ok Barinas are known to be shit so don't do that.

May I suggest getting a car you can afford to buy?

Do you really think that someone's lending you money at 0.9%? Not a chance. Read the fine print, know how much they're charging you and make an informed decision. Buying a car on finance is almost always a bad idea. You'll be making repayments long after the car has significantly depreciated.

My question is whether she really needs a new Barina. I second all of the thoughts here about the Barina being a crap car by objective standards. Go for a second hand, reliable car. There are plenty of cars around the $8,000 mark I'd rather be driving than a new Barina. Heck even cars closer to the $5,000 mark.

    Serious?

Barinas are a piece of crap. Avoid GM like the plague. Something used and Korean/Japanese is perfect for a gal who needs a reliable car. Why spend twice as much on a shitbox?

i30, i20, Corolla, Yaris, Jazz, there's plenty of cars out there that are half the price of a Barina that I'd rather own, and you might not have to finance.

    • I20 is an Indian made shitbox. Not much better than an X3 excel. But the rest I can agree with you on 😉
