GlenDronach 18 Single Malt Scotch Whisky $145 (Normally over $165) @ The Wine Providore

110

Exclusively for The Whisky List users, the bloody legends over at The Wine Providore are offering up as much GlenDronach 18 as you can handle for the amazing price of $145 (Normally available at $165 and the RRP is $179, price check us here! !

Now, in case you’re not sure why we’re so pumped about this, we can do some explaining. First, GlenDronach is awesome. This is known. Also, the 18 Year Old expression is aged in 100% ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, non-chill filtered, aged for a minimum of 18 years and tastes a bit like Christmas pudding in a bottle. But this year’s GlenDronach 18 is quite possibly the best one we’ve tasted, and it’s even possibly better than (brace yourself) any of the fabled 15 Year Old we’ve tried!

Much of that should be credited to GlenDronach’s (new-ish), Master Blender Rachel Barrie. She has crafted a masterpiece, with all of that sherry cask goodness, but a slightly more balanced and refined (and a less spicy) version than other recent years!

But (and forgive us for nerding out a bit), let’s not forget that the distillery was closed from 1996–2002… meaning, they didn’t make any whisky 18 years ago! The contents of this bottle are actually more like 22+ years old ;)

If you’ve had GlenDronach 18, you probably didn’t even read the rest of this and are instead buying it. But if you haven’t, this is really a special whisky and a fantastic price. You will not be disappointed with a bottle of it on your shelf!
