    They are an amazing multi purpose amp. Great tone, plenty of volume and great when mixing multi instruments with or without vocals. They also make great keyboard and electronic drum amps for example also.

  Well I've taken the plunge and decided to go wit the Korg B1 at that price - I think there's still one left including a stand. From what I've read it's a great option and certainly at that price. (Although I've seen refurbished versions without a stand for a bit less.)

  How would this for guitar speakers.. I am trying to get something to output my guitar from pod hd500x.. since hd500x has lots of effects and amp i am trying to get a budget studio monitor or may be a cheap cabinet..

    It depends on what your needs are. If you're playing out a lot somewhere and want something to jam along with friends you'll want a FRFR speaker like an Alto 310/Yamaha DBR10/JBL610 otherwise studio monitors will work for just home practice.

    Generally FRFR speakers are made to blast and fill big rooms, Studio monitors are more directional and made for lower volumes.

    This is all assuming you're using amp/cab modelling in the HD500.

      Yes, I am learning about tones so I am trying to use amp and cab modeling on this hd500x… Currently, I just use headphones…I always thought that studio monitors are frfr speaker…I will do more research… haven't pulled the plug yet…
