Some more good deal from Qantas Store. Should be TRS elegible too.

EDIT: I'm not associated with Qantas by any means. Not too sure why I have that box ticketed and locked in.

  • tempting to use all my points for this and the flymore kit. i always dreamed of using them for business class upgrades but that's damn near impossible now.

    • Really? I find there’s still heaps of availability.

      • i wanted to book an economy fare and upgrade, but since they ruled out discount economy as an upgrade it made it less worthy. ie. i have to spend extra hundreds of $$ to have the slight possiblity that i might be able to upgrade, but in reality won't because all the silvers and gold members have priority.

for me it just seems like a waste, on top of so many axed international routes that are now on codeshare (half points etc.)

    • Keep saving them! Took me 5 years to get enough but eventually I managed to fly around the world in business class with my wife for our honeymoon, was fantastic.

      • Nothing is better than business class and a comfy bed on the plane.

the biggest issue for me is once you go up to business, going back REAALLLY sucks.

          eg. seinfeld https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2JKXbVGq7A

          • @[Deactivated]: Exactly hence you make sure you have enough points to continue your addiction.

            • @nightelves: but in order to get more points you need to fly more (in economy), or spend tons of $$$ in supermarkets and loyalty programs with money you could just use to pay for business class tickets.

              points upgrades are a tease

              • @[Deactivated]: Nah just credit card signup 3-4 a year can get you close to an rtw in business class.

                • @nightelves: and a dodgy credit rating ;)

(think i read somewhere it's not good to do that) it is however how i got a lot of points as well.

this also depends on whether you work or not - so not for all.

                  • @[Deactivated]: Tbh that actually a lie. After countless credit cards my rating is still as good as ever. If you’re scared then spread the credit card applications out and you won’t have a problem.

      • how many points it cost you for round the world business class? im concerned about using up all my points on ONE trip because if i need to cancel or change, i dont think its really possible.

i'd rather pay for an economy flight and do an upgrade

but massive points inflation has made it fairly ridiculous now.

  • Great deal. Any idea how to get 2000 Qantas points cheaply?

    • For this amount you can either top-up with Qantas (more expensive) or buy it off other people.

    • Or if you're a wine drinker go through their Epiqure website and get bonus points.

Drones are kinda fun. My mate operates them in North-west Sydney and we see a lot of MILFs sun banking (sometimes in the nude) by their massive pools.

    • sun banking is that a high yield investment?

      • Yeah, man. A product of Suncorp Australia

  • The deal is across all DJI drones, too bad I dont have a Qantas account.

    $1686 + 2000 points for the Zoom.

What is 2000 point on a dollar amount?

    • Around $25

    • According to this link (https://www.finder.com.au/how-to-buy-qantas-frequent-flyer-p…), 2000 points costs $78 and available in bundles of 1000.

I tried to log in and use the top up points to purchase the 2000 points, but it wouldn't let me any as my current balance was 0. Unfortunately all of my points have expired because I don't fly very often.

Anyone have a spare 2000 points they don't want or can recommend another method of obtaining them quickly?

  • I've been looking at the Mavic 2 Pro for the last couple of weeks and was going to jump on this but then saw the dispatch was in 15 days.
Adding my postcode then blows the delivery time frame out to Nov 15.
No way I have the patience to wait that long.

    • Given that the RRP (worldwide it seems) has gone up recently (in the past two weeks?) - e.g. in Aus it has gone up from $2299 to $2499 - I think this deal appears to be even more appealing
Yes the delivery estimate is long - I just ordered and mine was given as Nov 14 (I'm hoping this is just Qantas quoting a worst case and it might come sooner) - but the $550 savings are worth the effort

  • Sold out :( had my card ready to purchase and all gone!

  • I got JB to price match Memory Mania. $2148 for the Mavic 2 Pro and $465 for the Fly More kit.
