Bluesmart One 4W Carry-on - Battery Removal?

Was really keen on this item till I found out that smart luggage is now banned by many airlines. However due to that problem catch now has this luggage for only $40.

I like the style and reviews are decent but I don't have much use for it if I can't fly with it. Has anyone any experience with this luggage? Could the battery be permanently removed without damage to the luggage?

  • Might be worth reading the comments in this deal

    • I did see that but the link to the battery removal states "How to remove the battery on your series 2" It's not clear if that is the same piece of luggage. Images only show the inside of the case.

  • I wouldnt bother as potentially you will have an argument about whether the battery was removed everytime you board.

  • Unless you can remove the battery, these cases are now useless

Also this case seems pretty useless in general, as the app is no longer available. So its basically just a suitcase with a battery to charge your phone.

To save future trouble of airlines thinking it has a battery in it still, just buy a decent battery pack and hang the cord out like everyone else?
