Hi,
I am travelling overseas next month and I have few items I would like to claim gst for. I meet all the requirement for the gst claim but the problem is the items are not allowed on board because they are aerosol/sprays. In such case, the TRS website says that I can make claims before checking in. But I am not sure where to go to make these claims before I check in my luggage. I am flying from Adelaide airport. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks a lot.

Yes these are perfumes and body sprays that comes in set boxes. I am getting few of them as a gift for my family members. Thanks
Maybe you can manually fill in a form and drop it in a box (not sure of that's an option if the counter is open), but I filled in a form, put the receipts in an envelope and dropped it in a box, didn't have to show anything and refund appeared in my bank account a week later. Not sure if I get my original receipt back though, hopefully!
what time when you arrive the airport?
About 8pm,there was one person at the counter but the line was closed and she just pointed the box outside to me. I had already prefilled all the info in the app so I was a little annoyed but yeh there were no checks at all.
Download the trs app it makes the claiming process so much faster, just had a quick look and there is a specific section in the faq within the app that references aerosol sprays. It implies you must carry on or wear items claimed in trs unless they are aerosols or sprays.
