Jetstar are offering some pretty good fares if you are interested in a light packing trip to Asia. 10kgs carry on bag included.

MEL-Singapore for $199 seems quite reasonable.

Dates and prices vary depending on the destination.

As with most airlines booking fees apply, unless you use a Jetstar mastercard.

"Prices based on payment by direct deposit / POLi, voucher or Jetstar MasterCard/Jetstar Platinum MasterCard for bookings through Jetstar.com.         and it's VIA Melbourne! damn why they cannot fly directly from SYD-SIN? isn't it a straight foward between major international cities??

    It was Melbourne - Singapore for $99 one-way including taxes and surcharges, last Friday evening. Singapore - Melbourne leg was $69. Price for carry on bags only. $200 return for checked in luggage option.

    The Australian registered jets for the singapore-Mel route are all based out of singapore with singapore crew… Thats how they keep their costs down.

    I don't really have any problem with this however. Cheap flights = win

      Its actually Aussie registered jets with aussie crew based in singapore on singapore conditions. You have no idea what sort of shitstorm this has created in the industry. Why couldn't they just register them in Singapore?

      They base them in Singapore so they pay crap all for their asian cabin crew. They pay their Thailand crew $400 a month.
