  You generally need to spend much higher to get noticeable differences. like $2k… If you need Atmos for instance just find one with it at the price you like. brand differences at entry level are very negligible.

  Probably the Denon AVR-X1500, though I don't think the Pioneer has dynamic volume and Denon's room correction system might be better than Pioneer's - YMMV.

Not a bad entry level for the price, and being 240V.

Got a Pioneer SC-LX502 (110V) for around $750 imported from USA on clearance. Had to add a $60 transformer…. but definitely worth it since its like $2000+ local.

An excellent unit. My friend has this and I have the previous non atmos version. A little fiddly menu system but pair it with good speakers and its awesome.
