"Test result of Quandrand (famouse PC performance test software), its scale is higher than Samsung Galaxy 5"

    That's not really saying much…
If it was beating the Galaxy S, that'd be a bit more impressive.

Personally I wouldn't consider an Android tablet running anything under 3.0.. 2.3 or lower is a phone OS, not a tablet OS.

    • I honestly think the media make too-big a deal about 2.2 not being designed for tablets. Why is 2.2 not meant for tablets? It works just fine.

      • Talking to people who've played with both, they say 3.0 is a huge improvement.

        • -1

Sure, but what makes 2.2 unusable on a tablet? I find it perfectly usable.

        • +1

Who said it was unusable? People are saying it's sub-optimal compared to 3.0.

        • Looking at the comments some people make about it, it sounds like it's a nightmare. Perhaps those people are just lifeless trolls.

Can this make calls like the Samsung Tab?

    • -4

Using Skype to make phone call.

      • Simple answer: NO
        Skype(fring etc) are VOIP calls

  • any videos of this device available?

Don't even bother, its resistive, 800x600, and freescale cpu. Spend a little bit more and get a proper device.

Eg. My nook color has arrived from that deal i posted and it is awesome. Have already tried honeycomb on it amd it is gonna be great once officially released. US$232 shipped.

    • US$232 shipped was a great deal. Of course now it's about US$282.

      • Yeah, $230 is a lot more tempting that $280, sadly. I'd be on it for closer to $200 than $300.

        • There will be more deals, if you've waited this long, may as well wait a wee bit longer.

Once iPad2 is out in numbers, these low end devices will be next to worthless, and mid range ones like nook color should come down in price too.

        • Yeah, agreed. OTOH, the XOOM looks very nice as well :-)

Oh and btw, I just ran "Quandrand" [lol] on my nook using CM7 rom. It got 1560, thats better than a stock Samsung Galaxy S, even better when you consider its running a 1024x600, vs SGS's 800x480 screen.
