        • Oh ok thank god.. didn't want more spam or association with this "deal" as it wasn't clear what was really up.

          Thanks for replying much appreciated.

          • @AlienC: just make sure change your detail so you don't get bothered with junk emails calls etc.

  • +3

Honestly still don't know why I just signed onto this.

    • +3

Admit it you want those cheap Sony headphones.

      • Define cheap haha.. I do want some really good headphones but right now in my room I have like 4 different over ear headphones/headsets and like over 10 different earphones wired and wireless.

But the most expensive one was like $90 on a good day so I don't have any super awesome headphones yet per se.. but I mean I only really use my mobile so I don't need the greatest and they would need to be bluetooth or wireless because wire fraying is a serious issue with many headphones and earphones.

I am transitioning to wireless right now as we speak.

Waiting on some Amazon AU stuff coming hopefully next Tuesday.

          • @nightelves: Oooo that is very very tempting hmm.. but now having thoughts of being followed home by a stranger and not in a nice way.

But man I bet these sound good like real good.

            • @AlienC: Just read all the review from the Ozbargain community and you’ll know how good it is. I have the 1000xm2 and even that is already good. So can’t imagine what the xm3 would be like.

              • @nightelves: How is it compared to the legendary qc bose you know which one I'm talking about. Can't remember if it is the 25 or 35 but those get mentioned a lot in this wireless Bluetooth headphone category.

Need thoughts and pros and cons on both as it seems these are the two top contenders in this price category.

        • Sony M3 + jabra and you are good and gonna be off headphones market for a while mate.

Anyone got TGG login details ?

    • +1

Nope, signed up about an hour after the deal posted and not in junk emails either. Hmmm seems doubtful that they will honour it

      • +1

I signed up for two years got nothing then signed up again for this using same email and got a card an hour after signup!

    • Signed up last night and still nothing

  • sort of get how this works…tempted to try it out if there will be any chance of cheap(er) A/C units? is anyone clued up & has access to the tgg commercial site?

  • Is it just me or does the code not work anymore?

  • +2

I signed up last night, got the email today but now the code has expired when trying to sign up to the tcg via g’day link. Bummer.

We’re emailing you as you recently signed up for a G’DAY Rewards membership using a promo code advertised on OzBargain.com.au.
Unfortunately the promo code you used to join was compromised and not a legitimate offer. We are not offering free 12 month memberships and are therefore sorry to advise that we are unable to process your membership with us.

I'll continue to not use Top and Discovery Parks for the 4 months I spend traveling each year because they're generally overpriced…

Would I have bought membership at $40 for two years previously in order to get TGG Commercial access? Quite possibly.

But I want nothing to do with G'DAY Rewards after a stunt like this. Peasants.

    • +1

They could have offered a slightly discounted offer to convert people. Wouldn't have to be much, but could get some people to sign up.

  • +2

Don’t think they wanted to print and mail thousands of cards

  • +1

Too many OzBargainers signing up yesterday so now they are cancelling all our free memberships. This has turned into a dud deal :(
Neg for the deal, not to the OP.

  • +2

    Cancelled mine :(

  • +7

At least we sent all our details to these people, so that they can spam :)

  • +4

Just got the cancellation email, won't be signing up for a 2-year membership anytime soon.

  • +4

    GGday what a joke

  • +8

    Same, same email received here.
A friend just told me they too received the same email so replied to the email with this message, “Please be advised: don’t call me or email me. Please ensure ALL my details are removed from all or any mailing or telephone lists.”
    Good advice!

  • We are addressing these issues in our systems to avoid similar occurrences in the future.

Like how they addressed these issues after the SUNCORP promo code? Just take my details and sign me up for their spam?

  • Got email too damnit. The least they could do was give me my Goodguys login!!

  • +9

I just updated my Contact Information with completely bogus details.

    • same

    • Same

    • How? I can only change my name and email.

      • I didn't use my primary number to sign up. I very rarely do for such third-party sites. I just used a burner phone number.

    • Change it to:

      1300 061 811
      [email protected]
L7/60 Light Square, Adelaide SA, Australia 5000

  • +1

    haha not legitimate
That's the force of mobilisation. They know it now haha

  • Why we take responsibility for their fault?
If G'DAY cannot accept that code from public, then do not reveal it.

    • +5

You realise this post wasn't posted by a G'DAY rep??

      • I know.
I mean, G'Day should not reveal it to someone, who G'Day knows will reveal it to public

        • Who is that someone? Perhaps G'day should treat their employees and partners guilty until proven innocent?

          Victim blaming much?

  • +1

did they honor the free 2y previously? Very weird if they honored that one but not this one which is only for 1y and might catch some people to extend the membership.

  • They revoked.

  • canceled as well, lame excuse

  • +1

But why they still have my records/details….?????

  • +3

I got this response. Not sure if it was deliberate to collect all personal data.

    • My thoughts also.
I'd better not be receiving spam from them or their affiliates without the benifit of membership!

    • Just got mine too.

  • +5

Gday rewards is fkn joke.. lie to your potential customers about a code being legitimate? Do you really think people are that dumb? You guys stuffed up, just wear it and appologise for your missmanagement.

  • Got the welcome email last night.

    And this, today:

'Unfortunately the promo code you used to join was compromised and not a legitimate offer. We are not offering free 12 month memberships and are therefore sorry to advise that we are unable to process your membership with us.'

    Offer withhdrawn.

  • That sux

  • +1

Poor form from G'Day rewards. Claiming that the promo code was compromised and respectively declaring it illegitimate is just a massive cop out. I've emailed them asking them to delete all of my personal information out of their system.

    • Let me know if you get a reply.

  • just got an email saying sign up was invalid - code was compromised and revoked now

  • -2

I just got an email says They have cancelled my membership cause I signed up by using OZbargain Code. Anyone got the same?

    • see above, I think it's pretty much the same for everyone

  • +2

This is a bloody outrage. Completely unaustralian!

  • I signed up this morning. Got welcome email with card details and received unwelcome email about an hour ago. But I am still able to go to change details section on their website using card number etc. Not sure what’s happening.

  • +21

Seems like someone took the 101 course in 'How to damage your brand in 10 easy steps'

Instead of turning 1000's of potential members into detractors of their brand, they could have chalked this one up to experience and accepted that they now had a large number of members with $0 acquisition cost and then tried to convert them in 12 months time to paid members.

    • Truth
It was perfect timing with the “air time” the headphone deal got.

  • +2

    Deal was revoked. Poor form.

  • +3

Yeah I got the email as well. I've just updated my details with bogus info.

  • What a bunch of twats. Deal revoked.

  • +3

    Deal was never a deal.

  • does that mean that the TGG commercial request will not be honoured either?

    • That's a fair assumption.

      • Unless TGG have some way of validating if a membership is valid from Gday, I'm hoping that our requests to TGG still get processed!!

  • +4

We should all send them messages on their Facebook page.

  • just received the email. dang it

    • -2

      why upvote

  • +5

Perhaps OB’ers should forward this link to G’Day Rewards at its [email protected] email address:

    Thanks chibot for the link.

  • cancelled

  • +1

Code was recalled and membership denied. (profanity) them.

    • +2

Just gave them a 0 star rating bringing their average to 3

    • +1

me too, Just gave them a 0 star rating bringing their average to 2.3

  • Love how the email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, hope they don't have the nerve to market to the email addresses collected from OzBargain.

    • Yeah they probably will

  • Invalid deal. Received email saying that code was compromised and membership cancelled.

  • +3

Sorry guys.. Can’t Neg my deal but revoked my vote.
Déjà Vu moments.. similar to GoCatch :(

  • Can someone post this thread on their Facebook page. You have to be a member of their page to post

  • -2

This must be reported as false advertising. Obviously they have all attention from people, and now pulling it off the promo. What a slack!!!

    • Where was it advertised by an official G'day rep? Ozbargain? Nope

Perhaps op should be sent to jail? Lol

      • +1

I think the point is, it wasn't 'illegitimate' - because THEY created it. i.e. Someone that works there had to deliberately create a code for it to work at first - and - they must have displayed the offer somewhere for someone to see it in the first place. Not to mention they've done exactly the same thing in the past.

        • But it was supposed to be a targeted offer. It wasn't supposed to be shared publicly

  • hmm i didn't get the cancellation email. got the confirmation email @ 2:09am 02/11 though.

  • Was the free 2 years membership deal also revoked?

    • yes :(

      • Oh well. When something sounds too good to be true…

Was anyone who got the 2 year freebie able to buy anything from TGGC?

  • Received email too! However, I didnt receive my card No. after hours of register with the code, so registered another one and received both instantly. One of my accounts was canceled (didn't bother to check), the other seems to be ok and I just registered with TGG Commercial, again. Got an account as family and friends right before the $274 deal pulled.
I don't know why and what!

  • -1

I just received an email saying the original membership offer I had was only for Sunsuper members but they have decided to honor 1 years membership.
