Yes indeed it does, just got my free drink with only a petrol purchase this morning. The cashier was even about to tell me I was entitled to a free drink when I noticed the signs everywhere for it, and remembered reading this deal, and blurted out "woohoo, it's free coffee day!"
Blurting that out… is a condition of the free coffee? :P

When they say ice coffee, it that like one of those 500ml ice coffee drinks you can get from the fridge or are they talking about something from their coffee machine? I don't usually buy coffees there so have no clues what is available.

From their machine. You have to grab the iced coffee cups (already contains ice) from inside the ice cream section. Peel the lid off and place it under the machine, choose your coffee and away it goes.

The minimum you can top up opal is 10 dollars. If you top it up at woolies you can use a gift card to get 5% off which saves you 50 cents. Hence you might as well get the chupachups as you'll be getting something out of it.
Just at 711 Newtown had a staff pretend not knowing about 711 day offer. asked him twice is a nationwide promo for today. still pretend not know till then asked to call up his manager. he then go thru the free coffee. receipt shown 7eleven day offer.
such a slum dodgy 711 staff, try to pretend dont know until you want to escalate it. can see every customer go thru the counter none get a free coffee.
Dodgy attendant at Burwood (Parramatta Road NSW) tried charging me for the slurpee. Only when I questioned about it then he marked it as free.

Edit:there was a big sign over the slushie machine advertising this at my local 7/11.
Also he did try and charge $2 for the coffeemelt instead of $1 until I questioned the staffmember.
I thought you have to say Happy 711 day? I did in the past to get the Slurpees.
They have $2 Krispy Kreme Original Glazed as well. I got that with the fuel and Iced Coffee with in store purchase.
Combine with the app offers and you've got yourself a Twix + coffee for 1$ :-)
