Amazon Australia 12.5% Cashback (up from 7.5%) @ Cashrewards

3900

Hi all. We've increased Amazon Australia Cashback to 12.5%. Increase will end at our discretion 11:59PM AEDT Nov 7. Thank you as always for your support. Enjoy :)

Very Important Notes:

  • Items added to your shopping cart before clicking from Cashrewards will not earn Cashback and will not be eligible for Cashback claims.
  • You must return and click through from Cashrewards to Amazon Australia every time you make a new transaction/purchase.
  • Purchases made via the Amazon App are not eligible for Cashback.
  • Gift Cards, Vouchers, Charity, Non-Profit items, and Amazon Prime memberships are not eligible for Cashback.
  • Cashback will be paid on eligible purchases, excluding shipping/delivery, taxes and GST.
  • Pre-orders are eligible for Cashback provided the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.

A Small Education Piece:

Please always ensure your last click before purchase is from Cashrewards. Simply click Shop Now and complete your shopping without leaving Amazon AU. A lot of untracked claims come from the fact members have other tabs open and/or are using Google or comparison sites to review their product/s before purchase. All cashback/rewards sites work off a simple principle - last click. The winning affiliate is always the one that receives the last click. Also turn off any AdBlock/uBlock/Ghostery as well as Safari (mobile and/or desktop) Cross-Site Tracking. Finally, you must return and click through from Cashrewards to the store every time you make a new transaction/purchase.

  • I ordered the Smash Ultimate Nintendo Switch bundle for $499 on Amazon. Utilized cashback, got an email notifying I'll get cashback for $56.69 by 21 January 2019.

That makes it $442.31. The base switch is $398 so you're essentially paying $44.31 for the game.

Additionally, if you're travelling dring Christmans holidays, you can also claim TRS and get the GST component back, I think, so that's another $45.36 saved.

You can push it as low as $396.95 and essentially get Smash Bros Ultimate for free.

    • I bought the same but you're comparing the base Switch at cost, unless there's something different in the bundle than aesthetics. You can buy the normal console and game for $467 vs $499 and then discount.

      • +1

You're right, in other words, a person is paying $499-$467=$32 for aesthetics, if they grab this bundle.

Also worth noting that buying them separately for a total cost of $467 will also get you a physical version of the game, whereby the bundle for $499 will come with a download code instead.

        • Tempting me to cancel and get the physical media…

          • @bxpressiv: Eh, it's up to personal preferences. Lifestyle games with replayability like smash and mario kart are preferred digitally for me because I'll play them from time to time and don't need to change the game card, whereas some games that I binge on for a month or two and finish it then sell off 2nd hand, those are preferably physical.

  • How does cashrewards and the like pay for the cashback. Is it the actual stores that are paying cashrewards for each 'click on link and buy' then cashrewards pays the buyer?

    • +1

Yeah usually Cashrewards and the like will get paid a commission by the retailer (which is usually a % of the checkout amount) they then pass on a % of that commission to you as cashback.

    • +1

      @ Dazbug

Yes its all about driving traffic to the website. The store will pay a certain % to CR & then CR will pay a % to the customer who used the link to shop.

Stores pay us a commission on everything you purchase and we share that commission with you!

  • I just got a couple of hundred worth of Christmas Shopping done with a solid $40 in cashback.
    Thanks for the heads up!

  • bad luck, ordered something last night.

  • Wish there was a discount code for new Amazon members on top of the cashback

  • How long does it generally take for a transaction to show up on the CashRewards site?

    • +1

Amazon, normally get the email from CR 24hrs after order. Then it appears in 'my rewards'.

Other sites, some within the hour, others not so quick.

  • +1

    i7 8700k for $491 after cashback??

  • Does it work for items sold by Amazon US. like the Asus F510UA

  • Good time to buy a Nintendo Switch!

  • I can only imagine what the affiliate rate is through Amazon?

  • Still showing pending around $90 cashback for my prime day purchase on 16th July. Not sure if I can get the cashback now.:(

    • Only reason it would still be pending from that long ago is because it was an untracked claim? If so, Amazon is yet to approve it.

      • Yes, they are. The items haven't not been refunded or returned to Amazon. Not sure why it takes so long.

Higher cashback but jacked up prices. Huggies nappies was $52 now $63

    • Cashrewards can't jack Amazon prices.

  • How long does it take to track the purchase? I followed the instructions from TA exactly and no tracking yet.

I've done 3 Amazon Australia purchases through CR when Amazon AU first started and I had to manually follow up and provide information for all of them, but that was before they fixed it.

    • same problem, bought yesterday, no tracking email. let me know how you go. In CR > My Account > Click history it says we can make an enquiry after 7 days and before 60 days from purchase, so see if any email comes through in the next week.

      • Orders will be tracked & processed automatically into your Cashrewards account as pending within 4 days of purchase.

  • Expired?

Oh well, three hundred dollars of sale crap I probably didn't need can go back into the watch list until the next Christmas deal…

  • Will I get 7.5% for hard drives purchased on Amazon.com.au ?

Shipped from Amazon usa, but charged in AUD, purchased on the AU site?

  • +2

Well I can say they DO honor this on Amazon.com.au even if the item is shipping out of the USA.

Which sucks, I missed 5% extra - not the end of the world but over $1700 of goods, ouch… Still 7.5% is pretty nice.
