not sure if it is a price error but everywhere else sells amazon $96, Ebay US-$110-$120 , Vimtag Australia $110

reviews online — Amazon review, techive, safewise, android guys,

got a Vimtag CP1 720p camera from last deal. great camera, therefore interested to grab few more and found these pretty cheap. bought few cheap so called 1080p cameras online from past few months, Vimtag CP1 out performed all of these, which includes xiaomi xiaofang, Annke and other no name brand cameras, i know i'm a tight ass and haven't tried any high end $200-$500ish cameras but these cheap ones were mainly purchased for fun rather than real security surveillance. this deal however is a P1 model that does 960P, i think it will definitely clearer than cp1's 720p.

well, you can always download the "vimtag" app from google app store or ios app store, just click on the "try it now" once installed so you can test try all their live cameras to see if they are good or not. (that was the reason i purchased from last deal :p)

not sure how to make a table so i will just list the specs here:

Vimtag Cp1 $79 — smart 1920x720p , Video Compression: H.264, Image Frame rate: 25fps, Night Vision: Two 940nm infrared lamp, irradiation distance:10 meters

vimtag P1 — 1280x960p , Video Compression: smart H.264, Image Frame rate: 25fps, Night Vision: Two 940nm infrared lamp, irradiation distance:10 meters

vimtag cp1-x $85.5 —1920x1080p , Video Compression: smart H.264, Image Frame rate: 25fps, Night Vision: Two 940nm infrared lamp, irradiation distance:10 meters

Vimtag b3-s outdoor unit $103 1080p, ip67 water and dust proof, metal casing, smart H.264, Image Frame rate: 30 fps

all of them support local MicroSD storage, optional blackbox storage, cloud storage.

For all these interested, these can be stand alone unit, no need to purchase anything else to make them work. simple plug and play, each vimtag app can add up to 32 cameras, and they do not support rtsp stream as yet so you can't use other after market apps for them.

hopefully i have covered all.cheers

Great first post! These cameras are real good, not sure if a price error but seems decent.

Nice deal. I don’t suppose they have any really tiny HD cameras (2-3mm FBI style) that you could place in a bathroom say, for security reasons? Asking for a friend.

  • Lol.🤣

  • how do you power these cameras? esp the Vimtag b3-s outdoor unit?

    • Obviously Power socket? Outdoor doesn't means its powered by solar, only means they are water and dust proof with wifi connection but u still need power to make it work.

Use the code package15 if buying two for them to be $1.50 cheaper each.

    • +1

      15% of $59.99 = $9.00

    • not $1.50 but 15% off

      • +1

It is an additional $1.50 off each if using the 15% off second purchase code.

Instead of getting $3 off just one purchased, or $6 if buying two (with p5off) you’ll get $9 off (with package15).

  • did anyone else notice the night vision camera is in the bedroom lmao i think im sick

  • Does anyone know if you can view these live remotely (much like what the xiaofangs could do) or is it only on a local connection?

    • +1

you can view it anywhere in the world if you got internet connection on your phone , that's how ip camera works.

  • Does Vimtag support onvif or rtsp protocols, and can you disable the cameras from broadcasting to the Vimtag cloud service, i.e. for local use only?

    • 1.) I have the 720p version from a few weeks ago.. and, short answer - yes. long - yes you can, but it's not a simple matter of connecting to it. You need to include an ID which changes. There's a bit more info here. https://github.com/btsimonh/826-x-ip-camera/issues/2

2.) Yeah just block outbound access at your firewall, if you can.

    • They are not supporting onvif and rtsp as yet, cloud service is an optional few bucks charge if you choose to, otherwise it wont store on cloud.

Hi guys. Just started cams yesterday so still learning. I was looking at the Floureon on ebay for $46 and it's 1080p and similar sprecs. Tried to post the link for reference but got deleted not sure why. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them? Cheers.

    • Vimtags are well built and video quality are damn good, plus they have local support in Australia. not sure about ur linked ones, but spend ur money wisely

  • great deal for the listed product, the outdoor one has lots of recent comments about the customer service and software issues

    • +1

U are not referring to the old units right? Recent software update and firmware update made my b3-s outdoor units worked flawlessly. They are really good for the price i reckon.

      • nah filtered by recent reviews on Amazon, was ready to pull the trigger but will reassess tmoz

  • How does this compare to xiaomi? What makes it better?
    Nice post!

    • These are smilar to Xiaomi mijia 360 ° camera but Vimtag are specialised in building smart cameras, they have servers worldwide which means you can get ur connection much quicker and smoother than Xiaomi and have less drop out issues like Xiaomi’s. I find the viewing angle not as wide but they are great in details.

      • Is there an option to view multiple cameras at once?
Want to set this up for the office and run it into a big tv

        • Under the same wifi environment you can view all cameras simultaneously but while you are outside try to access the cameras on your app , you can only view streaming for one at a time, then change to another.

  • Does anyone know if these will work on 4g internet ( mobile broadband dongle )?

    • +1

Yes it will, two of my cameras working with telstra 4g potable modem in my shop now, not sure ur referring to the same thing?

      • Going to buy 1 for$89, just checking I can turn my 4 g portable modem on at work, turn the camera on at work , drive home , turn on the app and can watch ?

  • It looks like can be poweredby powerbank. Anyone knows how long it will last for 10k powerbank?

    • I have powered it using my xiaomi bank and bank is directly charged through power outlet, havent experienced a power outage as yet so cant tell you how long the battery bank will lasts 😎

      • Good idea for battery backup!

      • Doesn't that kill the battery having it powered off the bank but charging it continuously?

        • Nah, most of the Xiaomi powerbanks have passthrough charging, so it doesn't affect the battery once it is charged.

  • this or the Arlo's? Or are we talking totally different product ranges

    • +1

They are different products as arlo are powered by battery mainly but also can do direct cable, and most improtantly arlo has to have a base station to make them work whereas vimtag products can work stand alone.

  • Looking at using these cameras, one for a baby, one for a puppy. Value for money wise, would this be the go???

    • Also, do these camera have any sort of movement alert etc.?

    • +1

I will recommend them for sure, cant go wrong with this price range for the quality and support.did have few others as i mentioned but not really satisfied overall.

  • You've put "Vimtag b3-s outdoor unit $103(ebay.com.au) Image Frame rate: 30 fps" but the listing says "Image frame rate
    25fps"

That said the listing says B3 and B3-Series in the title and images but then B1 in the generic ebay details.

  • Doh. Did my research too late and deal is over. Doh.

  • Yeah looks like price has gone back up to $89… Gg

  • +4

Got an eBay message from them, price error but order will be fulfilled.

Nice move from the store. I’ll be sure to leave positive feedback if it all goes smoothly.

    • Agreed. If camera works well and I need more, I'll be happy to reward this show of good faith with future purchases.

Hope the staffer responsible didn't cop too much of a beating…

      • Probably got fired to be honest.

        • If he did, I at least hope he did something else bad beforehand, like killing a kitten or suggesting all priests were molesterers…

        • Hope he bought a bunch of cameras on the side!

      • Yep, I’ve added them to my list of trustworthy sellers with good customer service who I would be happy to buy from.

Supercheap Auto on the other hand…

  • Anyone buy multiple and really dont need that extra? I missed out T_T
