You need to include what price it is once the discount is applied.

There is no point having $500 off if it's $999,999

    • $999,999 is way too much to pay for bike… IMHO…

    • +2

Sorry, mate, normal price is $1799 to $1999, so the percentage should be 25%-27% off.

still seems expensive for a 36V electric motor…

        • cost almost the price of scooter

        • Scooter need motor bike drive licence, this one no need.

        • no you dont need motor bike license for 50cc

        • +1

Please don't encourage more morons to get scooters. So sick of them double parking, jamming in between legitimate parkers and just generally making being a motorcyclist less enjoyable.

        • Or like the scum who choose scooters for their license test when I'm doing my test with a PROPER motorbike!

          SCUM!!!

It annoys me to no end that you can ride motorbikes after passing with an auto-scooter which is lighter/lazier and completely lame.

Funny it says ride the future, the bike in the pic looks like its from the 70's

    • +1

I bought this one on the pic, I think it is modern and nice ride.

      • How much did this bike cost?

        • +1

20% on Christmas time, I bought the black one $1600, this time costs $1499, 100 bucks further off.

My god thats a lot of money for lazy people.

Im not sure how anyone could justify that amount of money for a bike because you get tired, try getting married and passing that one by the missus

Mikinoz "My god thats a lot of money for lazy people."

I ride a lot.. I'll commute up to 40kms per day (that's without spandex and on a normal cheap mountain bike). I'm anything but lazy.

However, I would still consider electric because it means you can commute and be a lot less sweaty.. also, may give the incentive/time/ability to avoid certain roads. Also, it may lessen deep inhalation of toxic chemicals (for some people in some areas, riding can be very hazardous to lungs).

        • Same with you Stitchy, although would you part with nearly 2k for this as oppose to a decent bike ?

    • My drive licence just got suspended for 1 year.

      • +3

you should stay off the roads then…

    • Earlier….Steve McQueen would have made it over the fence with this bike.

might be wrong, but my understanding is Australia has a 200watt maximum for these types of bikes..
but that will soon change to meet european 250watt standards which give a lot more speed, and competition for sales.??

therefore, if you can, may be better to wait?

  • If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, you can buy kits that fit on most frames - up to 2000W (or more) - the legal road limit in Australia is 120W (which is pathetic, really) - this bike here is underpowered, looks like it weighs a ton, and is bloody expensive.

After spending a fortune, you won't be able to ride this legally on the road. Doh.

What's the point of owning a bike like this? It can help you get up small hills. On the footpath. In your driveway.

According to Australia law, the maximun is 200w if you want to ride on the road, like u said, any other motor more than 200W is off road only. 2000w is very easy to cause serious accidents.

      • Thats because 200W is the power of a reasonably fit cyclist.
Motorised bicycles are intended for the disabled. I think a lot of people really want a license-free moped instead.

Anyway, the bike I got is only 25kg in total.

holy batt butt, you wouldnt want to carry that upstairs if you lived in apartments

  • I really like the idea of the electric bikes but am yet to actually try one and see what sort of power they can generate - I am a short distance commuter and these would probably be perfect for me however I have chosen to use a motorbike / the bus when it rains /and human power when I feel fat!

Fairly steep gradient so I think an electric would struggle. Maybe an electric motorcycle would be the go however they are $10k!

Cost is still an issue - my pristine GT750 only cost $2500 and I can travel 400kms and I ain't sweaty.

Still think a 27% discount is solid.
