(the closest springfree Medium Round costs $1699, has a ten year warranty and is more cost effective if the kids actually use it for ten years. But even their fine print says it is unsafe for more than one child at a time)

will be happy if this lasts one season

  • The issue with the aldi trampoline is support after the sale, once the net or posts get damaged getting parts to repair it. We had so much issues getting the wardrobe doors replaced, so this would probably be the same

    • Actually, like a smaller version we purchased a few years ago, these are made and supported by Plum Australia whose customer service seems pretty good - we were about to order replacement net and pad but now considering upgrading to this one instead.

      • How long did they last before needing replacement?

        • +1

Fairly sure we’ve had it for 3 years: the pad around the edge is the main casualty - guessing a combination of use and being out in the elements all that time (I think this new one is reversible to extend the life). The netting on ours got ripped at the top from someone hanging on it.

          • @theMoebius: That's not bad we only got over year on the action brand before the top net ring bent and came apart

          • @theMoebius: @Craig from your comments, safe to say you are happy with your purchase?

            • @docians: Sorry, forgot to check back on the post!

Yep, we were happy with the original 6ft version and today picked up the 10ft one!

    • I bought a laundry hamper from them and it was missing a nut so I called the number and they sent one out and it arrived the next day.

      Results may vary I guess

        Anything for a nut :)

Anyone have any real feedback on the trampoline? Seems like a decent price considering it comes with a ladder, anchor kit..

      Price seems good
      Safety is my main concern
Does it meet Australian safety standards (I reckon it would scream that fact if it did)
Is Springfree scaremongering when they say theirs is the only one?(so they can keep their prices high)

At this price, if it lasts more than a season, it will be a bonus! Knowing my kids, their interest does not go beyond a few weeks/ months

      • From https://www.plumplay.com.au/trampolines:

Plum® trampolines meet or exceed worldwide industry standards (EN71) and are made to last in Australian weather conditions

That said, I wouldn't have thought they could sell them here if they didn't meet Australian standards?

Springfree Trampoline is the only trampoline recommended by Consumer Group CHOICE®. The Springfree Trampoline Medium Round was tested among 8 trampoline brands against the Australian Standards (AS 4989:2015), and was the only trampoline of all 8 brands to pass the safety tests.

          Source: https://www.springfreetrampoline.com.au/choice-recommended

I believe Australian standards are voluntary. Also Plum was one of the trampolines tested.

Many or most of the trampoline injuries are person vs person, which even Springfree does not recommend (in it's fine print)

Again it is possibly why they are so expensive.

  • 10' trampoline means an 8' mat/jumping area, right?

    • Yes, unless it is a springless model

  • Anyone bought this?
    Is it easy to assemble?

    • Just bought it today but probably won't assemble until the weekend though - the previous one was easy though.
