sounds like a good deal.. anybody bought these batteries before?

    • +2

      Yep.
Personally I found Energizer rechargeables to be very sh!t.
Lesser than usual voltage and poor ability to hold charge. Worse than the ones i got from the 100 Yen shop. The charger that was bundled with them was good though. Still use that.
      Perhaps I just got "lucky"…

I agree, the batteries are Sierra Hotel India Tango Hotel Oscar Uniform Sierra Echo.

I think out of eight I bought one of them actually can be charged…now if it was Sanyo Eneloop I'd be all over this like Charlie Sheen on a hooker

      • Ditto on that, i bought several packs some years ago thinking that they'd be the answer to all my energy needs. Boy was i wrong, 15 shots on the digicam before it started blinking low power. They may have changed how its manufactured now but I ain't going back to them anytime soon.

    • I agree with bendertiger - my experience has been bad!

All my Energizer 2500mAh's died long long before the generic brands. They won't hold a charge, most won't even charge enough to START a camera, let alone take photos.

That said, I heard a rumour that they had changed manufacturers or factories, and that the newer ones aren't as bad.

      • As stated these are 2450mAh not the 2500,mah we have sold stacks of these in the past not in a bundle though with all positive experience from buyers

  • "Not to be missed".
    I greatly disagree.

Please start giving an actual reason for your neg vote, other than your opinion (which isn't a valid reason to neg)

Tal_Shiar. Actually, his opinion is a valid reason to neg. He has said that he disagrees with 'Not to be missed' which shows that he has had experience with these batteries in the past, whether it's from friends or his own purchasing of them. I don't think I've actually seen a good review of Energizer rechargeables!

        • that doesnt show anything about his experience with these batteries (unlike your neg vote which was actually useful)

          as a further example

          http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/41473

his neg vote is a simple "i concur" where is the experience with that deal?

        • Tal_shiar, uh…there is a reason I want to become a detective! Often it's what people DON'T tell you that's more important than what they do.

        • +1

          Whoever negged me…

I'm SURE (sarcasm) that someone like FerretallicA is going to come on and leave a negative comment for no reason on a deal…it's as obvious as the sun is bright that he has had a bad experience with these batteries but just doesn't feel like elaborating. Remember, you have to leave a comment to neg a deal!

I never had any bad experience with any Energizer type of battery, the Sanyo ones are Great 2

Good Deal (even better than ebay)

To all the retractors, Energizer re-chargable batteries have improved over time
The 2010 and later batch are LSD, and hold up the charge well in my opinion
It also helps that you use a slow charger on these

    • +2

Thats good news then. Although i did experience the "shoddy batches" from 2006 so they've taken their sweet time in quality control.

  • Whatever floats your boat bendertiger, voting guidelines seem to back my point, not yours :d

Best of luck with your career change

  • For what it's worth, the 2009/10 & more recent version of these are top notch NIMH batteries. Easily the best out there in my experience. Highly recommended. They EASILY outlast and out-do my Eneloop's & others I've tried.

I have two of these AA's in a Speedlite 270EX flash unit on my Canon DSLR, and their good for easily over 500 shots in low light conditions. No other rechargeable NIMH I've tried can do better than 300 shots in that flash unit.

My only gripe is that they take like 12hrs to charge in the OEM charger unit.

    • Taking so long to charge is a GOOD thing. The slower batteries charge, rule of thumb, the more power you can cram in them and the longer they last! There are variables but it seems to be a general rule.
