    voted for the memes

  • but they are that price all the time…. how is this a 'bargain'?

    • 16.7% bulk purchase discount.

Also, cheaper than threadless for similarly awesome geeky designs; though I can't comment on the quality…

  • i want the u mad troll face shirt bad

  • I don't give a **** about this price being regular or not. These are absolutely brilliant shirts (humour wise)!

  • shipping is more than the shirts last time i checked.

  • someone work out the shipping for 10 shirts? i sorta want

  • i bought a few of these recently, the sizing is inconsistent. 3 shirts cost me $18 for shipping

  • i bet shipping kills

  • dudes…if i buy 10 i think it should be capped, dont be evil…

    "Delivery Method

Sorry, there are no available shipping methods for your location."

Wha?? Did it as a test to Sydney, anyone else have this prob?

    • Sorry, you cannot proceed to the next step of checkout without selecting a shipping method.

This may be a problem caused by an invalid mailing address. If this is the case, click on "Personal details" and fix any address problems in both shipping and billing addresses. Then click on "Continue" to proceed.

Got the same message with my address in Brisbane…

  • I've seen too many people with this shirt at USYD.
    http://6dollarshirts.com/t-shirts/Awesomely-For-The-Lulz-p-1…

  • Can't seem to ship to WA either.

  • Same result for me… says unavailable shipping for Sydney.

  • No luck getting an address to work here either.

  • ACT not working either :(

I was gonna get the laser cat keyboard one
Have seen something similar on IT Crowd

  • +1

OH my god they are brilliant. Better work for Melb.

  • So full of win!!

  • Sorry, there are no available shipping methods for your location.

    son i am disappoint

  • was going to buy these shirts only to find out it was about $50 to post. :/ still good price if quality is good

  • Just saw on the right that Dat in Parramatta purchased something or other. Is that one of us?!

    • Yeh thats me lol

Look at my post at the bottom

  • I managed to get an order shipped to me in Sydney.
I put my items in the cart, and got the unable to ship message like everyone else.

I left the site, came back and checked my cart and clicked checkout and let me put in payment details.
Hopefully it'll work for everyone else.

    • Oh sweet. How much was your shipping & for how many shirts?

      • I bought 4 shirts - 3 guys and 1 girls tee.

        Subtotal:  $24.50
        Shipping Cost:  $25.74

        Total:  $50.24

Not too bad for 4 shirts, considering the designs I got arent too readily available here.

  • +3

Okay, it gives a shipping option once you have a lot in your cart.

I have 10 shirts in my cart. $69.09 shipping. Disappointing.

    • Time to jettison the cart! :)

      • sniff

    • Wait so $69.09 shipping ONTOP of the $50 for the shirts? Or is that the total price?

      • On top of the shirts. As stated above, really $120 for 10 awesome shirts isn't bad, but pretty disappointing after all that.

It appears shipping adds about 100-125% to the cost depending on your state, no matter how many you get.

    • +1

      that's ridiculous pricing for shipping

and if 10 for $50 is their normal pricing, this isn't a bargain at all

  • Looks like they are printing from the States, guess thats why it is so expenisive
Yes threadless is still cheaper but these are new designs not found too often

  • +1

Christ some of these shirts could get your arrested, like the pedobear one.

    • +2

That's the only one I insist on buying myself.

I know what I'm about to say is very wrong and it SHOULDN'T be this way, but it's just a fact of life: I'll get away with it because I'm a chick.

      • +1

        Nah don't do it Ash'.

Life's not about what we get away with, it's where good people take a stand that makes a difference.

(Unless the shirt is about pedrobear, who as I understand it is like a Mexico's answer to Humphrey B Bear.)

        • +3

But it would be so brilliant to wear to my toddler cousins birthday party. :( All the kids would say LOOK! A CUTE LITTLE BEAR! and I'd be laughing away inside.

  • +1

Sorry, there are no available shipping methods for your location.

This is seriously pissing me off, I left the site, cleared my cache/cookies, logged out and in and still get this, my address is correct and I've even modified it slightly in case adding the suburb was messing with it but no deal. A site shouldn't function like this and it's making them lose customers, I'm one of them.

    Edit: My first Neg :(

    • +1

I take back my neg as I am now able to buy the shirts.

Bought 4 shirts, 3x $6 and 1x 2.95 random shirt, postage was $25.31 to Western Australia.

  • any luck for melbourne delivery and if so what is the price for 1 shirt?? awesome designs btw! was planning to get 1 just to make sure it fits me then buy 10!!!!!!

and does anyone know where these funny tees and be purchased locally???

  • 10 tshirts to BNE for 67.65. The posting charges are puzzling - Ashlea got 10 for 69.09? Could be US$ currency fluctuation… ;-)
Anyway, shipping is too much and no other option than USPS Priority Mail International - 6 - 10 Days.
    Tshirts are nice though…

    • LOL 7-12 days for me for the same postage type.

      • i would be wary about this business's practices

      • Maybe chick clothes weigh more? So USPS has to slow down

        • Haha not a bad prediction, but no chick shirts! All for the boyfriends birthday.

        • +1

I thought most guys prefer chick shirts to have less material!

  • Funny prints, shame about the shipping to Aust. Free stickers/tattoos with orders too!

  • $73.05 for postage for me = fuhgeddaboudit (though i might be back for a few shirts i like more than choosing 10

i bought 3 pairs of shoes from oddballshoe.com and the postage was almost the same, how can 10 shirts > 3 pairs of shoes in a box?

  • +4

I bought 10 tshirts off them a while back and they charged me $50 for shippng, almost as much as the tshirts cost, I emailed them complaining and they never responded, when the package arrived, the shipping cost listed on it was $20. I again emailed asking them to explain, they never replied, so I will never order from them again.

    Sent them this:

    Hi there.

I'm curious to see if you can do a better price for shipping to Australia.

$67 for the shipping alone…that's $17 more than 10 shirts!!!

Please let me know, because there are a ton of people who want to buy your shirts from Australia, but are instantly turning away due to your high shipping prices!

    See here:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/41592

Thanks for your time, and I look forward to receiving a response from you.

    -Jack

    • I'm very interested in buying a bunch of these shirts but I'm holding off until you get a reply.

    • I hope you get a reply, I sent 3 emails for no response, I figure the silence is an admittance of guilt (in that they have no reason for the excessive charge except to make money)

    • +2

      Hi Jack,

I sent them pretty much the same email as you did this morning.

including the link to this post.

I suggested an OZbargain special postage rate.

So I'm looking forward to their response.

Interesting smoothymcmellow $20 actual postage issue. that puts a downer on things

      cheers

      Al

      • Alright sounds good! Hopefully we'll get a decent response then.

      • recived email from $6tshirts-

"Thank you for your support! We will look into these issues. "

    • Hi Jack,
Unfortunately we do not offer other international shipping methods. We apologize for any inconvenience.

      Massive fail :(

      • Epic fail, I don't have a problem paying $6-10 shipping for a single shirt but there's no way in hell we should be paying that rate per shirt if we buy in bulk (being 5 or more). oh well, plenty of other t-shirt stores out there.

  • +1

Shipping is 67 USPS to NSW.

    WTF?

    • +2

If the shipping was more realistically priced they'd get a lot more sales, no doubt.

  • +2

How the heck is this a bargain?! It's their normal prices! It's not called 6dollarshirts.com for nothing.
The postage makes it NOT a bargain.
I'm gonna post a bargain that the $2 shop has products for less than $2 on sale right now!

    • -1

compared to other on-line tshirt companies it is a bargain.
or compared to what you would pay in a shop for a comparable item it is a bargain.

      • +1

I know, but this is their normal price, the end.
This shop has been around for a long time, you see their ads all over the place.
Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's a bargain does it?!
This is OZbargain, OZ OZ OZ as in OZtralia! The fact their shipping is so high makes it rubbish for OZ so I stand by my neg!

  • I bought the 10 shirts for $50 back in August 2010.
    Delivery to Melbourne was USD$66.60
    Grand Total USD$116.60

Quality of the shirts is excellent
Still just over USD$11 per shirt.

I'm very happy with the shirts.

    I got:
    NSFW
    Kramerica Industries
    867-5309
    I see dead pixels
    Happy Festivus!
    12 Parsecs
May the Schwartz be with you
    Flux Capacitor 1.21 Gigawatts
    Peace Bomber
    Space Invaders

    • +2

I agree $11 per shirt isn't bad but I don't agree on them charging $66USD for shipping when it actually costs them $20USD, they should rename their company to 10.60dollarshirts and charge $20 for shipping, not recoup their costs by ripping off us poor aussies

  • +1

People should be congratulated for wearing clever t-shirts (rather than just boring brand names). It leaves 50% of encountered readers smiling and the other 50% wondering/thinking. Both good deeds ;-)

  • +1

Terrible value offer. No where near close to a bargain when shipping considered.

  • Here's a big reply:

    Hi Jack,
We definitely appreciate your input, and we are not oblivious to blogs such as the one you posted. We would like to help you understand why we are forced to ship at the real cost of shipping, plus a small fee for shipping and materials, since you are part of the advocacy to let us know that shipping costs seem to be too high. We have actually been following this thread yesterday when it was posted, and are monitoring comments to see how our customers feel. While we don't plan to comment on the posts publicly, we are always listening.

We do not claim to offer the lowest shipping rate on the internet, because if we offer the lowest shipping cost, we would go out of business and our website would be gone soonafter. We do not make much profit at all on our shirts. We fight to keep our product costs low. We have a team that is dedicated to keeping costs down. We can only make things cheaper by shredding our morals thin. Of course, we could run off to third world countries and buy our blank shirts from sweatshops and get them for 27 cents each, however, we support the United States economy by buying blank shirts in the United States. We buy our printing materials in the united states from local companies. Many of our employees are students of University of Florida and work between classes. We support a local economy here in Gainesville Florida by offering competitive wages to our employees and we work reasonable hours. We don't shop at Walmart. We are a real company with real employees who live real lives in a horrible economy that belongs to the United States. While everyone worldwide complains about the cost of shipping thousands of miles, we are in meetings with USPS and UPS Representatives trying to make our shipping prices more reasonable without compromising our own morals.

While we ship at the real cost of shipping, we try our best to help international customers avoid import taxes and duties by declaring packages at a lower value when shipping. Thats all I can say regarding the comment about the "shipping cost."

With the rising costs of shirts, transportation and shipping, the cost of fighting internet fraud, the cost of labor rising in the United States, the cost of maintenance and running a secured website, etc, we are in an uphill battle to make prices any cheaper than we already offer them. While most other companies may charge more and make profit off the cost of their products, we charge low prices for our products and ship at the real rate, plus some material costs, etc. Unfortunately this may be a bite in the butt for international customers. International shipping is both costly and risky. With the cost of shipping plus products, this means that the cost per shirt for most international orders come out to be between $10 - $11 each, which, you've got to admit, is still not bad for quality tshirts of our caliber.

We hope that as a public figure of this issue you understand our viewpoint, and hope you will share your updated views with the blog you read. Thanks

    • so perhaps we source from a student from University of Florida to buy them and post them to us.

he/she gets them for $6 each and charges real postage?

      hhhmmmm, that sounds like work.

I still stand by my posting of this deal as admittedly $11 for a tshirt(when bought in a 10 pack) with a great design is pretty good value.

      • Well I'm pretty sure it's free shipping to most American states!

Yeah. The value is good, but I don't think it's worth of "OzBargain" status.

I'll get some mates together and put in an order…I don't mind paying $10ish for a shirt.

Better than anything here in our stores! But it could be so much cheaper…

  • That doesn't really explain how the stickered shipping cost of $20 for 10 shirts becomes $60-70 as smoothymcmellow stated above. Clearly they don't charge "actual" shipping costs, even if you take in to account the usual handling fee and the cost of packaging there's just no way to justify $50 on top of the amount they give UPS to ship the package.

Anyway, as I said earlier there are plenty of shops who use american apparel branded t-shirts and probably drive chevy's and feed their kids on american grown corn or whatever.

In the end the total cost will probably be the same but that's not the point, the point is that while people who buy from this store in USA get $6 shirts (plus local, cheap shipping) we are being gouged unfairly and that's enough to make me go somewhere else, even if the total cost per shirt including shipping is the same.

  • So how much do people think it would cost to send 10 t-shirts in a package from USA(FL) to Australia via UPS?

  • +1

Bought from them about a year ago (probably 20 shirts in total).

I noticed that printing had come through to the other side on green and blue shirts. When I write come through I mean that the colour on the back of the shirt had been effected. Couldn't wear the shirts - and 6dollarshirts would not pay for shipping either way back/and then back to me). Could have bought another $10 for the same cost to replace the stuffed ones.

Also I had to follow up with them 3 months after I ordered them, they hadn't sent them yet because my paypal address was different to my debit card I paid with. I've lived at the same address my whole life, only difference I noted was that one was in ALL CAPS.

In summary… Pathetic service, won't replace ill printed shirts, delivery costs more than shirts, plus shirts lose size pretty quickly.

I don't know how they can get away with it but the price for shipping the tees over was quite a lot higher than that printed on the box when it arrived.
