    When Myers has their 20% off sales then the two pack for these can be $16. If you add in the postage charge here it is a bit same/same. Myers has it standard as $20 for a twin pack. If you have shipster it is certainly worth getting.

    I was about to purchase and post this last night but then I realised that rubbing alcohol (which everyone on OZB has 5l of) and the recharge sachets from ccrrefills.com still work out much cheaper

        I am also new to it so haven't used them yet but have seen plenty of comments on here regarding them.
        500ml of rubbing alcohol and 1 sachet will refill the cartridge 3 times.

      Just add the rubbing alcohol and to get the level sensor working add a little water as well to increase conductivity.

    Can't you just clean the razor head out with a little cleaning brush, then run it under a tap? That's what I do when using my electric razor.

    I just rinse out with water, then methylated spirits. Then refill with methylated spirits and a smidge of eucalyptus oil. My 7 series is probably about 6-7 years old and still using the original cartridge. It sometimes gets finicky and still registers as empty, so if you add like a few drops of water it seems to come good

        Correct. Cartridges usually take 170ml or so of the cleansing solution. You can get some of these third-party lubricant/fragrance mixes to be dissolved in each 500ml batch 70% IPA solution. This will last you ages without having to pay for cartridges that can further burden our fragile planet with plastic waste.

          about 2 years ago i got 2 small bottles of lemon oil for $20 and 10 L of IPA for $40
          only used half a bottle of lemon oil and 1 litre of IPA
          cost so far i am guessing it cost me about $6 per year
