  • as far as headlamps go, i bought a really cheap headlamp for working on my car/bike, was so impressed with it that i ended up buying 3 more as stocking stuffers for chistmas, now these would obviously be vastly inferior to any headlamp on the site linked above but considering the price it might be an option for those after something for a couple of bucks

  • Seems extremely pricey.

to be fair you can't trust any of the specifications on these chinese products, the items listed above are premium, probably more suitable to a life and death situation rather than a family camping trip on the weekend

    • I have directly compared a Convoy to its Wolf Eye's counter part. The convoy only throws light about half the distance and does not have an adjustable lense. It doesn't event come close to a comparison.

      • I'd not suggest anyone in a "life or death" situation depend on ozbargain deals for torches :)

I'm not saying they're bad, just that, for the average punter, they're extremely expensive.
Maybe if you buy a couple of cheap chinese and they don't suit your purpose, buy an expensive light, otherwise….
I have a heap of cheap chinese torches, some are garbage, convoy cut the mustard, at least the ones I've got.

I have seen a number of "branded" torch companies come through selling rebadged chinese stuff but at quite a premium, Wolf Eye may well be different, I haven't researched them.
I have 2 of the BLF A6, for sub $30, they are amazing, they're floody (more practical in day to day use), but I think it can go a lot further (I haven't done a distance test) than the advertised 80m of the mentioned Wolf Eye torch (which is also a bad comparision as the WE is a UV / LED).
        Happy spotlighting :)
