  • Don't think so.
    -> Crap resolution
    -> Low end CPU
    -> only 128GB SSD

    For $799 you can get something better.

    The only good things is the 8GB ram

    • This is a pretty good deal but depends on OP's needs

      • That model has been discontinued though. Replaced by the G-Series laptops which are similar except different colours and 8th generation cores.
        I don't think the OP is after this kind of laptop anyway. Looks like something lightweight, small form factor and touchscreen is wanted.

        • yeah I know, I just meant a comparison of specs vs price for what you can get out there. In terms of light weight, small form factor, what do you recommend? Surface pro line up is pretty good if he can stand the detachable keyboard

          • @[Deactivated]: Generally the Dell Outlet has great prices for refurbished laptops (see my other comment below).
            For new though, I would have to do some looking around.

      For $799 you could get the thinkpad e485. Still got a small ssd, but that's fixable with some extra cash

        That’s a good deal. On the Lenovo website it’s +$50 to upgrade to 256GB or +$150 for 512GB. Alternatively you could add a second HDD if you want lots of cheap storage.

          IMO the $50 upgrades not worth it though. 128gb is valued at $30, so they'd be valuing their 256gb at $80.

          Unless they're Samsung SSDs? Then it might be worth it, pretty sure that's what they tend to retail at.

          Anyways, I'd personally just get the 128gb model than add your own 1tb HDD or 500ish gb SSD. Pretty easy to swap out storage, so should be fine.

  • If you don't mind refurbished, take a look at the Dell Outlet
    For example: Inspiron 13 5000 2-in-1 $749
    -> 1920x1080 Touchscreen
    -> 7th Gen i5 CPU
    -> 256GB SSD
    -> 8GB RAM
    -> 13.3in
