Im out of ideas!

Typical late 20s female interests/hobbies.

  • All you need is a box, wrapping paper and a ribbon.

    The rest is all you.

    • +3

      box myself up?

      • +6

Yeah cut a hole in it and hold it over your groin.

        • +1

if it works in the movies what could go wrong when i try?

          • @thirtysixd: It works sixty percent of the time all the time.

    • +4
      • Ahaha. I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • +1

    Books
    An escape room
    A watch
    A big teddy
Craft or gardening supplies (whatever she is into)
A fancy piece of clothing like a cashmere cardigan
    Leather work diary or folio
    Fountain pen

    • A big teddy

She will need this to cuddle after she breaks up with OP for calling her "typical" and leaving her birthday presents to the last minute.

      • -3

And she could probably use a vibrating massager too.

      • And with a $100 budget lol

    • this is actually really cool but too expensive hah

  • +3

    A Sandwich press

    • Or a pressed sandwich

  • +4

As a woman in her late 20s, I would love any of the following:

    A luxury spa voucher
A perfume such as Dior or Chanel
    Dessert boxes https://dessertboxes.com.au/
    A high tea
Make up! (Make sure it's good quality)
A salon voucher to get my hair done
    A gift voucher

    • +4

As a woman in her late 20s they all sound horrible to me! (I lie, the high tea sounds great). But they’re good suggestions. The two of us alone have shown strangers can’t guess when it comes to specific things other people will like. So, OP, what does your girl like?! What does she do for fun?

Go stay at a nice hotel for a night and do a dinner?
      Do a cooking class?
      High tea?
      Boozy brunch?

      (Yes I like eating. )

      • Looks like High tea is the winner OP. Yes it might be more than $100 and yes, you have to go with.

      • +3

I had to go to high tea once already :(

You have actually given me a great idea!
We are getting old and less fun so im going to book tandem skydiving (basically the complete opposite of high tea).

        • +7

Great synergy with the sports bra!

@Scrooge McDuck: Skydiving could be an excellent idea if it's something she's wanted to do. The best gifts tell your partner, I listen to you, understand you and love you.

The best gift I've ever received was a paraglider flight. I had mentioned previously that I would love to fly, but I was completely blown away when I received this on my birthday. Unbeknownst to my friend at the time, I had actually wanted to fly a paraglider for many years prior and had studied piloting one in depth.

The location was a stunning ocean ridge and a powerful Easterly was blowing that day. The instructor was apprehensive about the wind strength but yielded to my enthusiasm. Shortly after take off, he offered me the controls and I soared along the ridge hundreds of metres in the air. The views were spectacular as I soared, spiralled and double backed along the ridge.

After what felt like about half an hour of soaring along the wooded ridge, I asked if I could take us cross country across the lagoon to fly over the beach to the South. The instructor obliged and we had a peaceful journey calmly making our way to the beach.

We arrived with enormous altitude in the bank so the instructor took over the controls and placed us in a series of left and right spins. The centripetal force was astounding as we flung around near horizontally, staring wide-eyed at the rapidly spinning beach face-first. After a stomach churning number of these, we had finally burnt off enough altitude to touch down for a soft landing on the beach where my buddy awaited to snap some photos and help me get my breath back.

            Good times, lifelong memories!

          Don't forget Cashrewards!

    • I wouldn't like any of those, except maybe a gift voucher if it was to a shop I would actually shop in

      • +7

Cash is a gift voucher to every shop.

        • +2

Nothing says, I don't know you well but want to buy myself out of the obligation, like a wad of cash. The next step up from that is a gift voucher.

          • @Scrooge McDuck: So your saying hire someone to kidnap her abd yourself abd terrorise both of you so you have to rely on each other… She will be so upset she wont notice no gift. Problem solved :)

            • @Seedy seed: If you're going to do that, better for you to foil the kidnapping, save the day and get the girl.

          • @Scrooge McDuck: Cash with a note saying what it intended for (in a nice way) has all the advantages of as gift vopucher, and none of the large downsides. Shops love gift vouchers, because so many expire with out being used. RBA vouchers have no expiry.

  • +2

Vacuum cleaner and a new pair of dish washing gloves.

  • Espresso machine

  • Pyjamas
    Photo frame
An experience like go karting, painting etc
    Tiffany and co anything

    • +10

      is 'the boss' better?

    • What’s wrong with that?
      Get over it.

      • Maybe they don't want to be one of many misters and want to be the Mr?

Her birthday is a prime opportunity to buy her something that you really want, whilst still taking credit for being generous. You could buy her some nice lingerie. And if you're not sure of what you like, the girls in the lingerie stores are all very friendly, helpful and gentle.

    But personally I'd buy her:

    • A furry onesie,
    • a studded choker,
    • 2 pairs of handcuffs,
    • assorted chains, and
    • a doorknob with colourful streamers attached to it.
    • +1

I may be slightly not as seedy as you… What do you use the door knob for if not up the clacker? 😂😂

      • +2

        Nothing seedy about it.

It's for going in the back door.

  • If she likes taking photos on her smartphone and printing them, could be worth getting a portable printer like the HP Sprocket (Plus), which is pretty cool, although will set you back closer to $150-$200

  • +1

Carton of beer Banana lounge and the rest in Bunnings gift voucher to put towards a fan or umbrella.

  • +1

Let her out of the cage for a day?

    • Barefoot or with shoes?

  • +1

Presents are overrated, take her out for a nice dinner/movie date, she should appreciate the thought no matter what the actual 'gift' is.

    • If you deeply love someone, you should celebrate their birth, presence and life everyday.

      • +7

I just vomited in my mouth a little

        • +4

IKR!! But chicks love when you say chit like that. It gets them everytime.

  • +1

    • +5

Might be better to start with a ping pong ball.

      • I hear darts are more interesting!

      • You're on a roll in this thread

        • I've been on a roll since 1992.
