Get the comic books instead. The videos abbreviate the story and you miss out on the best parts.
I wish we lived in a world without region locking. Particularly on movies and games.
I'm pretty sure most DVD players will play all regions, or a search on google will tell you how to enable region-free mode.
The last DVD player I bought (Philips, bought in 2014) was region locked, but before I ordered it, I checked that it could be unlocked. After I received it, half a dozen button-pushes put it into "international" mode.
There is also the option of playing the DVDs on a computer, using VLC. VLC reads the DVDs as though they are data disks, so the drive's region locking doesn't come into play.
How do you unlock Panasonic home theatre DVD player?
Google the model number of the DVD player, and "region unlock".
