An award will go to the OzBargainer who uses enough Amex cards to buy a car at 25% discount.

    • 16k car, you will need 40 cards. It's possible!

The deal is just for servincing

      • +2

        What is servincing?

        • +2

When a dealer tries to convince you to service with them.

    • Might get a DSG clutch and DMF replacement. I'm sure it will chew up at least 10 cards worth…waiting for a quote to see how hilarious it compare with an indie.

    • Trying this one out, got $15,200 of budget to play with.

Please put [NSW, VIC, WA] into the title, no locations in the other states:

I still hope to see Bob Jane offer from Amex, hopefully this is not a replacement for it.

    • I’m really keen on the Bob Jane offer too. Tyres need replacement :(

      • Will these guys replace tyres

      • Not fussed, Jax will do as well. Even better if you can combine with the current Bridgestone's buy 3 get the 4th free promo.

      • me too, bring Bob back please!!!

        • yeah, same here. been waiting for any tire merchant deal with amex

    • Yep it's due around now if history matters… These guys do tyres also, https://www.ahgautoservice.com.au/ my next step will be getting them to price-match..

  • All locations in Victoria are either cbd and south east ?

West is ignored even here :(

    • The funny thing is, AHG owns a truckload of dealerships and only random ones are included. Heck Diesel Motors over in WA sells Merc, their Canberra shop isn't listed though.

  • so we just book our normal car service for eg, Toyota Preston and pay with the AMEX card ?

I am negging AHG servicing because of multiple issues with poor servicing and unethical business practices I have experienced.

The final straw was when they quoted me to install brake parts I was supplying (rotors and pads). I asked for a total price (front and rear) I accepted the price. I went into the centre and when I went to confirm the price before handing my keys, they doubled it on me and the mechanic showed disinterest in the work. Absolutely unethical and dodgey business practice. Effectively they charged more than double other mechanics were charging. I finally got the work done by another mechanic for less than the half AHG altered price.

I placed a formal complaint but they never followed up. So I have black listed them.

    • My experience with them is quite the contrary. Old Foz was playing up a few days before Christmas, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and basically stalled/couldn't be started. Scanned and came back a couple of sensors played up. Was semi-pissed having to pay full retail for parts (I normally have them pre-ordered from the US when I knew things were on the way out) but got back on the road. Almost. On Christmas eve, that thing died again, AHG offered to have it towed to their workshop and gave us a loaner for 3 weeks till they re-open in the new year. Subsequent repair was on their dime as they took the liability of having it misdiagnosed on the first go.

    • They kept curbing my wheels during service. Once they scraped the left wing mirror.

  • Anyone here tried buying a car yet using this offer saved over multiple cards?
