    Wonderful find.

  • Items are now 404. Looks like the JB hifi employee who's in charge of Web sales is a sharp ozbargainer.

Edit - back again. Wonder if they patched the exploit now.

  • Google home mini's are no longer listed? Deal over?

    • JB's web site is unstable this evening, probably due to this Online Price Blitz promo it is doing for 24 hours. The GHMs are still there but I cannot get pass the payment stage in cart.

  • I couldn't get it to work on mobile, but after many attempts got it working on my PC. All three in the cart

Worked for me! Just did it.

Great deal. I've been after one of these smart hubs and more lights and minis is a great bonus!

  • I think I will go with the JBL from HN for 269

  • Cool deal

Just wondering though, for the smart display device can you get same functionality with any Android tablet?

Does the display do more Google house stuff or does it better than a Android tablet?

It's not a tablet. You can't install apps or play Android games on it. It's basically a Google home speaker with an added screen

      • Ok so its the voice command functions that set it apart from a tablet.

I think for the money I would prefer extra functions on tablet but this is good deal with all the extras.

        • Yes it has better microphones but no battery

  • Just ordered hopefully they will honour it

Wanted to buy 2 for bedroom and kitchen but after reading reviews, apparently there's no Netflix support. Oh well.

    • Screen is pretty small for Netflix. Hopefully they will support it soon. New update had a number of improvements

Keep in mind that there is absolutely no way to connect this with external speakers, which is a shame as the built-in speaker is far from great if you enjoy good audio quality. So if this is a deal breaker, go with another model, such as the Google Hub but that obviously has a lesser screen. I did manage to connect a wifi speaker to it but that casts everything from the smart display (think Chromecast Audio), so that it doesn't display video on the smart display when you do that, which is that what I'm after.

I have the 10" version and the screen is simply stunning. Yes, it's "only" FHD, but that already makes it the highest resolution smart display available on the market today, and considering that you won't be holding it in front of your eyes like a tablet, I don't think you'd need more than that.
