  • I have 2 of these and abused the crap out of them.

Sea water, drops still working and water tight.

Charger perfectly charges batters at 1A and not overcharge. (4.2V is full and it stops)

YouTube some reviews. Won't be disappointed. Just don't buy a fake battery from eBay haha

    • @plaque69, do you find it drains th battery too quick?

      • What do you mean? At high, it is rated to run for 2 hrs and 30 minutes. (It only runs on turbo/flare mode for ~45 seconds before stepping down to avoid overheating.)

        • Sorry i mean do you need to charge the battery often in moderate use?

          • @sol3x: There is a charger built in and easy to swap batteries. For a multi day hike, I would take this plus a head lamp. Depends on how you use it.

On normal trips, I use it and then it's into the cars USB port for charging. Hour or 2 of driving and it's full again

        • Turbo for me never turns off suddenly, I think there must be a gradual fade down? I never notice a fLicker when it changes.

      • Not really. You can use a higher capacity battery.

With a 2000mAh battery, I was able to do the 1000 steps hike in Victoria up and down with a single charge and on high.

It gets hot on high, but not as hot as other lights I've used, like the popular Thorfire

  • Code works for multiple units and if you buy two shipping is free making each torch ~$18.20.

Edit: Code only works for up to two units (third item not discounted).

hmmm i got "promotion code does not exist?

    • Coupon working again.

  • Hmmm, hopefully it gets sorted out soon.

      Coupon working again.

  • Awesome price. These torches are amazing for them price.

  • Edited: Where do you guys recommend picking up batteries from?

    • +1

eBay Aussie sellers. Go for a known brand.

LG HG2 3000mah might be a tad overkill but treat them well and you can use it in other places for a long time.

If too good to be true = prob not true

(Eg. When this flash light flickers, then it's low voltage, charge immediately)

      • Thanks mate, very helpful!
The price on this is at least 50% cheaper than the online battery stores I looked at this afternoon! Are there any popular stores that I can just walk in and buy them from such as Bunnings or Jaycar?

        • Bindings used to have 18650's not sure if they do anymore. Price will be similar but the battery would be understandably marked up quite a bit

        • Battery World sell them but they're expensive as all hell. Or go to a vape shop (I know *shudder*) and purchase some Samsung 30Q batteries from them.

  • so where am i putting this code?? cause i've gone to the checkout and further but i cant see a coupon or promo insert

    • Once you click proceed to checkout you should see this click on use coupon and enter code there.

  • Any idea if this battery would be suitable?

Anyone recommend what to look for in batteries for torches like this?

    • Yep, that'll work. I prefer protected lithium batteries and getting a reputable brand of battery.
