If I order on Amazon now, and price drops in a few hours due to Black Friday, would I get that new price?

if I buy a Nintendo Switch off Amazon right now, and they dont ship it today since its too late for post (6:30PM)… if the Switch goes for a good price during their Black Friday deals in 6 hours time, would the new black friday price apply to my order? So I wouldn't need to be quick to order when the black friday stuff goes on sale?

Amazon Best Price guarantee only applies to Pre-order items.

So the answer to the question is a no.

    • Damn, thank you for the clarification.

would the new black friday price apply to my order?

    why would amazon do that?

    • Because the owner of amazon is very generous with his money

      • Billionaires don't give money to strangers unless it's for a photo op and their name in the news.

    • Because the price dropped between my purchase and the item actually being shipped, and they don't charge until its shipped. Like preorders as mentioned above.

A price change doesn't automatically change the terms of a transaction.

        • And yet that's exactly what the "Pre-Order Price Guarantee" is… I simply didn't know their price guarantee was only for preorders.

This is a policy that both parties agree to before the transaction accepted

You're asking to change the terms of the transaction after it has been accepted.

          • @SierraSC: You're not eligible for the Pre-Order Price Guarantee because you're not pre-ordering something before the release date.

You're agreeing to buy something at the advertised price, and the vendor will ship it to you once payment is received. Amazon does let you cancel the order any time before the order has shipped though.

      • You may cancel and reorder the item at the new price.

If I buy the lottery now, and the result comes out and I didn’t win, can I change the number to the winning numbers so I wouldn’t need to guess the right numbers the first time around?

    cancel it and reorder
    easy

Usually no problem cancelling until it is shipped so should be fine if you reorder in a few hours.

      • How long do they usually allow for cancellation? Right up until shipping is logged or is it a bit risky, ie it can vary and depend?

Once the product ships, the money is already on its way to a tax haven where it is no longer tracked by official means, so the money is literally 'p00f!'

        • can vary but if you are talking a few hours should be fine. Sometimes can be weeks if product not in stock.

  • Why not wait, and just be quick
