TRS App vs Form

HI:

Would someone be able to fill me in on how applying for the TRS GST refund through the app works, when there is no staff at the airport?
e.g. I pre-fill the details into the App and get the QR code, get to the airport late at night only to find the staff have already left for the day, do I still fill out the form there and ignore the app? Would that double up with the details I already filled through the app or will that not be a problem? Or is there still a scanner there to scan your code and submit your invoice documents?

  Nothing happens with the app until the QR code gets scanned. Thus if you populated the app and then find noone there just fill in the form and you can ignore te app.

  If no one is at the counter, you have to fill in the paper form, envelope and drop it in the box. At least you wouldn't have to bother with showing them the items etc.
