some people might prefer if they have store warranty so they prefer buying from aussie stores. the ebay sellers are probably all from hong kong, right?
Exactly. Different story if you're saving hundreds, but for something this expensive, I don't think it's worth it to save $50.
Some australian-based sellers on ebay will usually sell grey imports. There are no manufacturer warranty on grey imports.
I think paying additional $50 to get MANUFACTURE WARRANTY is great. But I can't find anything regarding warranty on their site.

add approx 200 on top of that makes it $810 + $40 postage (give / take)
$850 grey vs $987 australian stock (you probably could haggle it down a little more if you try)
Not sure what the cost price for the Australian retailers for this item is but I normally try to get the best price of online retailers offering manufacturers warranty and shopfronts. If I can get that price, then I am happy.
I am horrible at haggling but maybe someone else here can try to see if there is margins here to squeeze further.
