  • Excellent price, actually tempting me as this is usually $400-$500

If you want it get it now, set is retiring and being replaced by the new Porsche RSR

      • As tempted as I am, I think I'd rather put the $300 into my racing simulator PC fund.

yea these things are epic cool but can't really do much after it's assembled (as an adult), Sim racing is much more fun! I play everyday with VR, it works out much cheaper per hr compared to expensive legos

          • @Oz8argain: Yeah I've got a great setup but am looking to move from PS4 Pro to PC next.

oh wow. thanks for mentioning, i had no idea!

        had a quick look, and they're same-same but different…

        https://www.brothers-brick.com/2018/11/20/lego-technic-42096…

(tl:dr…RSR doesn't have the gearbox and is smaller than the GT3, but up to the individual if the price difference is worth it)

      • What do you think of the RSR headlights? They need a bit of opaque material to get the look more 911ish to me.

Damn! that's a good price. I just bought a knock off set because i wanted to build this and it was taking forever for this set to come down in price.

Looks like I own two GT3 Porsches now :D

Friend bought a Lepin brand of this model for AU$70 in Shenzhen last week.

      • I bought the “Decool” branded one, and it’s garbage. Finish of the parts is crap. Tyres don’t fit on rims. Push togther parts are loose. The parts feel lighter and of shittier grade plastic. The gears are tight and all but bound up. Very poor alignment between parts. The list goes on… apparently the Decool is supposed to be better than the Lepin GT3 kit. God help him.

I have given up half way through because the quality is so piss poor. The only upside was that it was cheap and in white instead of that gawd awful orange. I usually don’t buy into the counterfeit Lego, and this was my first and can safely say, it will be my last fake Lego kit.

I’m actually looking forward to the real LEGO GT3 turning up. It looks like a nice build. But this shit quality Decool knock off has almost turned me off starting again…
