This is the cheapest price I have seen for Diablo III Eternal Collection at $49. EB Games currently has this game on sale in their Black Friday deal for $57 and Big W appears to have the cheapest price around in Australia as far as I can see. It's a great game and I highly recommend it.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2018

My pre-order from Amazon still won't ship until January sometime. Maybe I'll grab it from Big W…

    • when did you do the pre order? I got from amazon on release day with pre order

      • +1

Only a few days before, then they sent me a $10 credit for the delay and that stock would arrive 19th Nov. That came and went and now my order says it won't dispatch until 14th Jan. I've no idea why they're having stock issues or why it's affecting my order specifically.

The exact same thing happen to me. I already cancel it and purchase from other place. The delay is insane.

        • You need to remind them they sometimes forget to ship it. I had multiple orders they forgot to ship them for a month or so but after a live chat all sorted.

    • Had same thing happen got delayed to Nov 21 then delayed to Jan 14 as well.

I picked it up this morning from Big W

    • Had the same problem, contacted Amazon on chat and the rep said it was their suppliers problem and the quickest it would arrive would be two weeks. Saw this and canned that order -cheers for the $10 voucher though Amazon.

  • Anyone know if there's other formats at BigW for same price?

    • +2

They only sell the switch version

      • Thanks mate.

Please stop with these deals I already bought 3 games and my Switch isn't here yet

    • +1

      actually made me laugh

  • I had a preorder from Amazon ($47 after $15 discount code) which arrived 3 or 4 days late to WA.

I flew to Japan on release day so ended up buying electronic copy so I could play on the plane, but managed to sell my copy from Amazon for $60 on Monday.

I think I just about broke even, but glad I decided to not wait to sell it - had about 15 people message me about it on FB.

      Cool story.

What has this got to do with big w selling the game for $49?

  • i have a fair backlog of games, would this be cheaper in say 1-2 years?

    • +1

yes since it's not first party game

  • Do you guys not have switches?

  • Have to say it is a great price.

  • Not giving Blizzard any more of my money. Play Path of Exile on PC instead. I just started, it's amazing.

    • +4

You can't play that on a Switch.

      • Well aware, hence I added the "on PC" part. Assuming many gamers that would be interested in Diablo 3 in the slightest are PC gamers to begin with.

      • But you can on a ps4

    • Thanks for heads up phrober, I've been looking to remove myself from the Blizzard pay machine since latest changes… I'll give Path of Exile a go!

  • How’s the game holding up with the latest patches/contents?

Played intensively on pc for a few months at launch and moved on.

    • I played on release on PC and lost interest fairly quickly after a few weeks and had not touched it since.

Have to say playing it now on switch (in handheld only) was impressed by the controls and game layout, plus game runs perfectly.

Would agree Path of Exile is a better option on PC but enjoy playing this while travelling or lying in bed in handheld mode.

Have put in 15 to 20 hours in last fortnight and can recommend it for around the $50 price point.

      • Thanks for sharing.

I was amazed that such an old game can still command this price just because it's on Nintendo platform.

    • I think the game is way way better now from launch, it feels like a completely different game to me. That said, I abandoned it on PC because of clunkiness and only play it on console, (ps3, ps4) but I would buy it and play it on Switch if I had one.

Damn. Bought mine for $58 via Gamesmen Ebay.

    • Doesn't eBay have price guarantee?

  • $55 in store? What gives?

  • -3

Can't believe this is considered a bargain, a 6 year old game at the same price as RDR2, sheesh.

  • Darn that's annoying. I got EB to price match this morning when it was $55 (logistically closer than getting to Big W). Then Big W dropped the price another $6

    • return it and repurchase and price match again

    Amazing finding mate, ++

  • Does this game require internet connection for campaign single player?

    • +2

Nope, only need to go online for online Multiplayer

  • +1

Big W Tea Tree Plaza still had it displayed as full price on the shelf, scanned for $55 then had to display their own website to get it at $49. "No regerts"

    • In 10 years time, you’ll regret the countless hours you’ll sink into this game and wonder what you did with your life.

      • +3

Jokes on you, I have no life to regret wasting. I'm on OzBargain! :^)

  • Game worth closer to a uncommon gladius sword on the real money AH i.e. $5.

  • As much as I would like to play D3 on the Switch, I have been playing D3 since it launched on PC aeons ago and finally called it quits after season 13. It's a great game and it changed a lot since launch (after the real money auction house debacle). It will definitely keeps new players occupy for years to come, or until D4.

I do get why people don't think it's worth the price especially when the game is more than 6 years old, but the Switch is the only version where you can play on the go. If you have played the game as long as I have then it may not be worth it, but for those who are new to the game, the price is not unreasonable.

An interesting article about D3 and D4 and perhaps Diablo in general

  • Anyone still play on PC?
