So people who pre-order from target pay more than those who buy it on launch? That's kind of the opposite of how you would expect it to work.
As the community frequently cries out, yet the community does not follow "do not pre-order video games". We have Battlefield 2042, Assassins Creed: Unity, Cyberpunk 2042, and many other precedences as to why.
In saying that I believe the only game worth pre-ordering if you wish for a hardcopy would be GTA VI

I'd guess they will have a copy made for every person on the planet so I doubt it will be hard to find a physical copy.

I bought 2 for $30 games from jb hifi, used $10 perk voucher, so paid $20 for two games.
Went to EB straight away, pre-ordered Ghost of Yotei, as EB had promption for Ghost of Yotei, like trading two ps5 games and only need to pay $59.
So same price $79 I will be paying for this game.
I will also ask EB to price match JB when collecting the game on Thursday, as JB is selling at $99, but EB selling at $124.95 hopefully can save another $25.95……
JB are doing Ghost of Yotei for $0 with 2 game trade in. It's a pretty select list of games though, not your $30 bargain bin games. I am going to trade in Spiderman 2 and Unicorn Overlord to get Yotei for nothing.
So which way is better?
Trade two bin games bought from JB for $20 with EB and only pay $59 to get Ghost of Yotei?

Spiderman I'd rather not part with, but its all I have and I platinumed the game.
Unicorn Overlord you can get digitally for $38 if you want.
I don't have to deal with buying games to trade in, nor do I have to take a cent out of my wallet. I'd prefer this over the EB method, but each to their own.
Also, I avoid FB marketplace like the plague.

yes they do price match, but the guy from EB told me they will only price match the store in the same shopping center….

I did literally the exact same thing haha, except I traded 2 copies of Super Bomberman R2 that I got for $20 with the perks voucher. You’re right that it ends up being $79 too, except this deal is way less finagling around and I wish I could now cancel my preorder from EB. However I heard it’s a nightmare to refund trade in deals because they make you buy back games of equivalent value instead of refunding you the retail amount as store credit.
I don’t believe they can price match other retailers when doing the preorder trade in deal, because they specifically mark down the game to $107 and adjust the trade in values of games over $10 to be $24 each to bring Yotei to be $59. But it’s worth a shot, do let me know.
I will share update with you mate. I asked the guy when doing trade in and pre order few months ago. He said when I collect the game on release day if other shop had lower price he can price match. But I am not sure whether he is lying or not. will soon find out on Thursday
people will trash this game 'cos female' but for SP to release a tonne of review units early and the reviews all round are fantastic, so many saying this game will flop. it will comfortably sell 5 million units in the first week.
I think that only happens when its an ugly female 🤔

used to be free for PS plus. bit of a boring game for me as there's simply too much cg plays…..
But Ghost of Tsushima is awesome. Yotei we don't know yet, and apparently it's a completely different dev team.
