In case anyone is wanting this to use like a food processor don’t hold your breath. I had one but ended up returning it because it simply wouldn’t blend. Cheap crappy food processor even does a better job. I wanted to be able to make raw vegan cheesecakes for example that require a smooth consistency. The soaked cashews were never going to blend to a paste consistency. Ended up replacing with the small vitamix which does the job but also have a small Cuisinart processor that can do it. Heck, even a stick mixer will do a better job. The cups are ok but anything thicker than a fruit smoothie and the gasket will break. Again, tried adding frozen berries to my smoothie for example and it blew the gasket on the blade. Maybe mine was a dud but my friend can’t get a smooth blend with her ninja of the same model. Just thought it worth noting for anyone potentially wanting this. The blades are just not positioned low enough to incorporate the ingredients at the bottom. They’re really powerful but it’s pointless.

Thanks for the review! Saves me wasting my money :)

    • thanks from me too. I have the same one but without the food processor attachment (so the smoothie cups and big soup maker thing). They are excellent, but I wanted the food processor attachment. Sounds like I shouldn't now.

      • just to be clear though, we do use everything else in the pack and find it blends things excellently. We use it for soups and smoothies. Both come out very smooth.
      • Yes mainly the s blade in the part you’re after. It’s just not designed well. I am someone who makes interesting concoctions. Anything requiring a smooth blend like nut butters etc you’ve got Buckley’s hope
