    14.0" FHD IPS (1920x1080) AntiGlare

    Not true.

I asked the wife if I could buy one, and I got Glare !!!

      It was super effective!

If around 500 I'll get one

Just got mine from the last time it was on here. Took about 2 weeks.

Great laptop. The function key is poorly place imo. Far bottom left where the Control key would be.

Very little bloat. Only Macafee and Lenovo stuff.

    • +2

That's normally where Function key is placed on a Lenovo.

      • +1

Yeah, but personally I like it the other way round like my inspiron - the ctrl is in the corner with fn next to it

        • +4

You can change the function of those keys around.

F1 to enter BIOS on startup
          Select Config
          Select Keyboard and Mouse
Toggle the Fn and Ctrl Key Swap

          • @juloc: Oh thanks! That'll be handy

          • +1

@juloc: Can also be set in Lenovo Vantage software.

    • What's the battery life like? Some older reviews peg it at 4 hours, wondering if bios updates have improved that at all?

      • You would be lucky to get any more then 4 hours with the 3 Cell Li-Polymer Battery 45WH that's included.

      • seems about right with my usage so far too.

  • Oh darn I'm not going back overseas until 6th Feb so hope it comes up again in 2 weeks time. What's the usual shopback % for Lenovo. And would Windows 8.1 run on this I don't like Windows 10 it updates too much and chews up my mobile data and it's easier to turn off updates on 8.1.

    • It is true on Windows 10, especially the Home edition, it's hard to disable automatic updates.
However, Windows 10 has also introduced a new feature in the Networks section called "Metered Connection".
This is a toggle to let Windows know you are on mobile data.
Windows services (eg. Windows updates and Onedrive) will respect this toggle (I've found) and delay the updates.
Other services (eg. Third party anti virus updates) not so much.

I got it last time here for $765.
This one's not quite as good as its only 128GB SSD.

    • Is the screen brightness acceptable. And what's the battery life like thanks. And it might be worth the extra $50 to go to a 256 gig ssd.

      • I've only used it indoors so I'm not sure - but it seems fine to me.
Battery life doesn't seem too good so I wouldn't recommend if you're using it for uni or similar.
I think it's worth it to get 256GB SSD.
