TCL 65X4US 65" QLED UHD Smart TV (Android + Chromecast) AU $1,479.00 Delivered (METRO) @ Videopro eBay

Was browsing for UHD TV's to pair with a PS4pro. This is a ridiculously low price for what appears to be a 200Hz QLED UHD TV with HDR10. Reviews are mostly positive and only downside seems to be the clunkiness of the UI and boot up time. I had a look at it in store at JB and the picture is easily as good as similar sized QLED TVs that cost double or triple the price. There must be a catch but I can't see it. 3 Yr manufacturers warranty also.

some delivery restrictions: Excludes: Northern Territory, WA Regional, SA Regional, Tasmania, WA Remote, PO Box

thanks to Doweyy for the lower price finding ;)

OP, please correct the description: It is not an OLED TV. It is a QLED (LCD with LED backlight).

  • The catch is that OLED and QLED are not equivalent technologies. QLED is simply a marketing term for a wide gamut LCD panel with an LED backlight.

its an average tv with a shite interface. honestly if u can get C8 for around 2k then this TV has no relevance….

    • And why would you say that? Do you own one?

      • bought one for a relative, so yes I did get to use it for a while

        • Thanks for that, was about to buy one.

      Are you going to get a 65" C8 for around 2k though? That'd be 55" wouldn't it?

I actually got one just before blackfriday specials. Paid $160 more but had to bite the bullet and replace my broken tv. I find it alot better then my old tv but it was a shite cheap soniq.

You can put it in a standby mode which makes it bootup faster. Quality wise I'm pretty happy just running a standard ps4 through it and mainly use the Android TV along with a NAS (Kodi) works a treat and have alot of content. There was the thought to go a different tv and buy a nvidia shield but didnt want the hassle of having 2 devices.

I wanted a better picture then a normal LCD. Went with the QLED over OLED. Dont want to get started on here about OLED and burn in. Ive seen youtube videos on it but the people Ive talked with haven't experienced it. I didnt want to take any chances. Ive heard that dealing with TCL for warranty might be a issue. But I hope itll last me at least 5 years and ill upgrade again.

Got the apk file to upgrade Android TV to Oreo its a beta not sure if I should risk trying to install it.

  • Just to add to this seems like only 3 available and delivery states est. Dec 10-12

  • Only 2 left now - Bit the bullet and Ive got one !:) Got to be better than Soniq!!

  • We can get them through work heavily discounted and our current list price is $1430, so this is actually pretty good.

  • Thoughts on the TCL 65X4US QLED versus the Samsung 65" Q6 QLED? Can't decide between the two, any help would be appreciated :)
