      Agreed. But every single toaster that I've looked at has bad reviews online. Are there are no good toasters around that don't cost a bomb? I don't need a $150 toaster any more than I need a $500 rice cooker.

      FWIW, I bought this one despite some bad reviews. So far it seems okay.

      I have this model toaster after our Kenwood toaster had an electrical fault which I had purchased in a previous Amazon sale. No issues with this model at all!
