      Yeah. I can't think of any reason why you'd ever need more than 8GB on the kindle when books are like 3-4MB and can be quickly added to your library as you need them

        Well they do hold audiobooks now as well so if you have a big collection it adds up.

          Can't use Audible over bluetooth in Australia. It's technically possible just Amazon are kinda lazy pricks.

            @deelaroo: Wow that is interesting thanks for that note. You can listen to audio books through the speaker or via a headphone jack though right ..if not that is a show stopper for me??

              @thatsthat: There's no speakers or headphone jack on any kindle since the 'Kindle Keyboard' & (I think) the 'Kindle DX' If you want Audible you use a computer or smartphone or tablet.

              I just tested my old Kindle Keyboard and an Audible sample worked nicely, but I am signed into the US Kindle & Audible stores, which may make a difference.

            @deelaroo: ??? I'm sure I've used Audible over bluetooth in Aust on my iphone no problem. I run accounts in both regions when I get a chance I'll flick back to AU and try again but I'm pretty sure I used to listen like that regularly

              @melmac77: Sorry for confusion I mean from the Kindle's that have Bluetooth. The new Paperwhite has Bluetooth and in US you can play your Audible books on it but not here in AU.

    Was waiting for a discount on the 8gb version for a gift. Too bad that wasnt discounted. For the same price happy to buy the 32gb especially with the 11% cash rewards. Thanks OP.
    But yeah, 32gb will be mostly wasted space…

      I had to return a pair of shoes last month. The automated return page said it will refund upto $x of the return postage and I was supposed to submit the postage receipt. The actual postage was less than the limit and they refunded it in a couple of days.
