    4 years ago, I purchased a7 +FE2870 +bonus LA-EA4 for $950..
Now it seems cameras are getting more and more expensive…

    • Yep. Same with the A6000 - you could pick it cheaper back in 2014 than you can now.

      • Recently bought the a6000 + 18-50mm Lens kit for $630 + bonus $125 gift card.
Reading comments on previous sales and some dude said he bought it for $450 in 2014 -.-

        • A6000 hasn’t had a bonus gift card for years. Did you mean a6300?

  • I got the original A7S in 2014 for $1350, $100 cashback and free kit lens…

    • I loved that sale :)

      • +1. Sold it for $1300 two months ago!

  • Damn I thought this is A7III…

    • how did you do that? it's missing an entire digit in price…

    • That one is the Alpha, this is just the Beta.

  • …wondering why Sony still has brand new stock of a twice replaced camera model.

    • Pricing is structured for different ends of the market. It’s the same reason the A6000 stuck around after the A6300 & A6500 release. Heck, even the A5000 and A5100 are still around. Someone with the budget for an A7 Mk3 isn’t looking at the original A7. Just the same as someone with a $1000 budget isn’t looking at an A7 3. The reason Sony can keep these older models around for so long is because Nikon and Canon have had their heads in the sand for the last half decade when it comes to mirrorless.

You guys have no idea… Exchange rate is much worse than 3 to 4 years ago….

    • Yep, it is. It still blows me away that I paid less for the camera 4 years ago than it would cost me to buy it now. Now that's the kind of investment we like! If you understand the limitations, it's a great camera at a great price. Especially now that the lens ecosystem has been expanded. Biggest issue is still battery life.
