If you want to make money on Lego, you need to wait until the set is out of production, and all of the sales channels have sold out.
Then, you need to hope that every man and his dog hasn't already stocked up their spare bedroom with Lego sets to score some of that 'better investment than gold' profit. In other words, buy your Lego over five years ago. Oh, and sell it off before Chinese knock-offs like Lepin start reproducing and selling for $75, so again, a few years ago.
I have sold a number of these Lego modulars for over $700. None of the sets from the last five years or so will ever sell for anything like that.
it will sell eventually… just taking up space in my garage. Sold all the assembly squares that bought for $240.
People who posted the deal deserved a cashback from scalpers who made profit from the deal.
sold mine for $200. bought in Sep 18.
For investment, only buy if the discount more than 40% RRP.
Hoping Myer will screw up as usual and offer the double discount.

I must say this set looks better in real life. I wasn’t convinced by the curves and how “Diner” was built.
But I saw one made up in Myer Sydney and was quite impressed.
