They were $103 for Mens and $97 for Womens (and another 10% cashback off this) during Black Friday …. I picked up 6 pairs lol

Wife said they were comfy when she tried them on at the store …… I still haven't tried them on though! … Hope they are good :|

6 pairs? I wonder how many pairs of shoes do people buy via Ozbargain… I think I bought about 4 pairs on average a year.

BTW, They are the best Nike shoes I ever had in my life :)

      • I should clarify .. 3 for the wife and 3 for myself haha

Thanks for the review - looking forward to trying them next week :D

    • the non-rubber part of the outsoles worn out ridiculously quickly

      • They should last you 300 - 400km without any problems….

        • -1

Yeah sure - jordan should make u fly.

One good thing about Nike is I got refund for my 1-mth Epic (only morning jog & weekend grocery run)

@alexGoodwin: I run a lot (over 1500km so far this year) and have two pairs of react flyknits. I have put 225km into one pair and 80km into the second. Both pairs have barely got any wear on the soles and have plenty of life left in them

            • @chiprillis: i am solid build around 193lbs, front-feet striker (front part of the feet contact ground)

used to be nike-fan, but now asics gel and adidas boost only.

              • @alexGoodwin: I'm around 180lbs and a forefoot striker as well. I tried boosts before the reacts but ended up using them as casual shoes. I've run in Nike frees up until I switched to reacts a few months ago. Also just started on my first pair of Hokas for trail runs nd they're brilliant

            • @chiprillis: I've seen vids of after 6 months, etc and they've held up well. I was very surprised.

      • The grooves on some parts of the outsole was designed to be less deep.
Looks like it has worn out if you didn't notice it when it was brand new.

    • i picked up some white ones in size 6 on black friday for 97 (plus cashback) didnt realise that you probably have to go .5 a size up. don't want to return them cos they dont do exchanges but wont be able to get this price again!

      • You should go a half size up, they fit very narrow, but once you break it in, it should be decent. I don't know if it is me or not, do different colourways have different materials?

      • Same boat, got a pair in size 7, waaay to narrow. Called Nike about a size exchange at the same price but no deal. Best they could do was to give me another 30% off code but they are back up to full price on the website.

    • they were $92.39 after sale price + discount at one stage ;)
      plus 6% cash rewards ontop@

    • looks like a balenciaga take on

  • +2

    Was it $92.39 last week?

    • +1

Yes, $92.39 plus cash back. I got some more and personally I found a lot better and way more comfortable than the Adidas Boost.

      • -3

way more comfortable than adidas ultra boost?

        please..

        • +2

Not going to lie I feel the same about the reacts.

          I have 4 pairs of boosts that I don’t even use anymore…
1 being the parley version that I haven’t even worn…

        • I found them more comfy…. Boosts were my number one until I put these on….

        • Yes, that's why I have 7 of the Epic Reacts once the new lot come vs one pair of Boosts. Do you have both? I have both and qualified to have this opinion.

          • -4

@dandandan: One of my biggest problem with Epic Reacts is that they have limited colourways, the colourways they currently trying to promote may align with LGBT groups…

I feel more comfy in my ultraboost, however it is more minimal on Nike which I prefer a lot of the times.

            • @Yaren24: Oh dear, that's a pretty poor comment.

A quick look shows 17 colours then if your are talking about minimalist, there is all black and black and white

In any instance, my opinion was I felt they were more comfortable than my Ultra Boosts and not about colours. Also not stereotyping anyone.

              • @dandandan: good to know im not missing out! when wiggle had a sale i was tempted to buy but was always sold out in my size!

  • +1

Also worth mentioning the Nike Odyssey React are also on sale for some colours. I find them a bit sturdier then the Epic react and the soles don't wear out as quick as they are different and have some harder material blended with the react material.

$125.99 for the black for example.

    • yeh, I got both, Odyssey last longer, Epics are spongier.

I thrashed through the sole of the Epics in 6 months wearing them to work daily. The most comfy pair I've ever worn, and the sad thing is the top part of the shoe looks brand new! The bottom is pretty much white sponge now….

  • ended up getting a pair of the 'Belgium' colourway at full price, very disappointed none of the discount pairs were in my size

  • I tried the reacts when they first came out, the soles were so comfortable compared to the boosts which i wear nearly everyday. However they were too narrow for my feet so I didn't get them which was quite disappointing.

  • Just be careful of getting the correct size.
Im in a massive shit fight with Nike at the moment about returning some brand new Pesgasus for 1 size up.
3 Phone calls, 2 escalations, 3 online chats and now I've been told I have to wait 3-5 days for the 'Elite service team' to respond.

    • Yeah they don't allow exchanges, so you were better off buying like 3 pairs and returning (for free) the 2 that don't fit you.

  • If these are more comfortable than Adidas boosts ;/
I'll have to try snag a pair boxing day sales lol

    • Don't think they will come boxing day sales…

  • Ordered two pairs at the $92.39 price but only one has shipped. Also ordered a pair of Adidas Boston XR1. I know, different types of shoes but will be good to compare the soles. I have the Free Rn 5.0 Flyknit which are my comfiest shoes so far.

    • The Bostons are crazy squishy. They have Boost and an Ortholite insole. They aren't great for support, but for casual or a lot of standing, they are extremely comfy.

      • Yeah they are fairly squishy. Nice to walk around with though. 2017 Free Rn flyknits are more comfortable overall. My Epic React arrived the other day. The mid upper is tight, even with half a size up. I have to wear thinner socks to make it bearable. More bounce than the Free Rn but not as nice to walk around with compared to the Boston, which is fine as they do exactly what I bought them for (Free: short run, or walk about shoes, Boston: casual, React: running).

        • I'm keen to try The Pegasus 35 Turbo with Zoom and React. Figers crossed for a boxing day sale at Nike.

  • Question.

Has Nike recently changed their size guide as I used to be a 10.5US which was 28.5cm, but now that size would mean I'm a 11.5-12US.

Can anyone tell me the answer please?

  • Not really a bargain.

  • I just got my Epic React. I love them, more return energy than Boost, but firmer, so less shock absorption.

Flyknit is also very comfy. I wasn't a fan of the React Elements (I returned mine), but I'm a fan of the Epic Reacts.

    • I got mine last week as well, very good quality shoes, I ordered female size but it seemed to me the female version uses a different material than male, bit rougher. But anyway, if I see any epic reacts on sales, would def grab another pair.

      • One thing I did note. Where the React makes direct contact with the ground has worn most of the tread in a days wear. Reviews say this is normal and it probably wont wear much more, but it does impact wet performance greatly. I've always found Nike's slippery though.

        • I think it depends, because my black epic reacts does have the partial rubber outsole, and the white version which doesnt have the clear rubber outsole, but still, it is the best Nike running shoes atm, Btw I don't know but I don't think the outlets have the epic reacts for sale?
