Not a bad shoe, but I already have the Hoka Challenger and Saucony Peregrine, which would be similar to this.

this is also not a bad option as a casual neutral work shoe.

    • What's a good first trail shoe? I only really road run. I have saucony rides, triumph and speeds so I was just gonna just go get some peregrines but I've heard the xodus ultras are pretty good.

  • Love Merrell shoes also got a $10 sign up and got some sandals well, summer here we come

  • What shoes would someone recommend for someone that's prone to gout, side of my foot is always tender these days, sometime wide fitting. I just hate any pressure

    • look up "foot shaped shoe". dealing with the side pain as well

Get pills. See your doctor. Change your diet.
Shoes make little difference. Walking hurts with gout. Ride a bike. Exercise helps. Lose weight.
Don’t drink beer. Drink water always. Dehydration is a major cause.
Soft simple shoes like Hoka Cliftons are better than most.

    • Everything @choofa said is right. I have gout for the last 10 years and I do 70kms in 3 days every 6 months on my hiking expeditions. Manage diet first, exercise and you can wear whatever you want!

      • I've already lost 25kgs over the last year, I don't drink alcohol. Probably my change of diet over the last year.

Not for wide feet but a solid review otherwise.

    • I don't know if i understand drops and heel striking. I had Ultraboosts and the lateral ball of my foot wore out to the plastic inside the sole. I always thought i was a heel striker but does this mean I'm a forefoot striker?

  • I use kayano and nimbus, anyone know how these rate to the asics heavyweights ?

    • Yeah used kayano and ghost for 2e wide feet for training up to marathons, brooks can get quite heavy though. Asics kayano have always been best for me.

Indeed. Almost impossible to get a bargain on them though. Only way is to get lucky at the outlet store. Grabbed my last pair for $75 like this. Need more options to branch out.

  • Listing says 3 units left in stock. First attempt to checkout, popup reports payment failed. Second attempt success. Checked email/gateway to find both orders paid 😡.

    • Hey there, please send us an email to [email protected] and include your order number so that we can cancel one of your orders and refund as needed.

      • Customer service has already responded to confirm one order is cancelled. Nice (quick) work! 🙂

  • Are these true to size? Noticed the US9's are sold out and contemplating the 9.5's.

    • I'm in the same boat.
