  • Not sure where the catalogue is. Only found current and 29-12dec. Which has also started already.

Does it include their board games?

  • +6

Unlike eBay, no price jacking involved!

Sure but some regular prices are inflated anyway compared to other retailers

    Eg Lego Technic forest machine
    Kmart $149 available today
    BigW $188; minus 20%= $150 on sale

    • +3

Not inflated, just RRP. Kmart does have some great every day prices on Lego though - I've stopped myself from jumping at some good 'deals' at Big W before when I googled and saw that Kmart's price was cheaper.

      • +3

Lego Technic Forest Machine currently at $135 on target
which means even with 20% off will be $15 more expensive than Target's price
Same price on amazon (better with cash rewards/ cashback)

I guess big W's sale is targeted at last minute shoppers/ impulse buys/ non ozbargainers who will be swayed by 20% off and not do their homework :)

        • I'm not saying Big W aren't more expensive. The RRP on that set is actually AUD$199, so they're all lower than RRP, which is pretty unusual.

Awesome Target price given the RRP. Actually on their ebay store, so right now you can grab it for $121.50! Stack the 5% off $100 Paypal and you're all set.

  • LEGO Star Wars Y-Wing Starfighter - 75181

    $ 249 (Save $50)

I wonder if it will become $199.20?

    • +1

No it'll go back to regular $299 and save 20% from that.

    • I had a look, not available for delivery. No stock within 2000km of Sydney. :(

      • +3

This is why you go to a store and hide the item before the expected sales begin

  • Will they have the Lego Voltron?

    • Highly doubt

      • $217 Lego voltron from either David Jones or Myer right now. Price match DJ's 25% off toys. Myer tend to have more stock.

  • Btw, amazon will probably price match and more CASHREWARDS. If you have prime also free delivery so for some might be better option.

  • Good time to buy some of these IMO, same price as Kmart. Using this 20% off, plus paying by Wish gift card taking a further 5% off, makes it a good price

    • +1

Further research shows that Target have them at the same price and currently also have 20% off (link), however, you get an extra 5% off with the gift cards making it $25.84 from Big W.
For this particular product (plus the other train tracks) it would be cheaper from Big W and not from Amazon based on current pricing, including any price matching and cashback (thanks for the suggestion Frozensage). Hope this may be of use to anyone interested in the same products.

I got an email (maybe targeted) saying triple points for shopping at Big W online/instore until 24 December (exc. gift cards etc). I don't count points as much, but it's a little bonus.

  • Will it be online as well?

  • I'm lost, has this started already or starts Thursday?

  • +1

Still no word whether this is in-store only or online as well?

Seems the catalog is online now. Been eyeing off the Mario Kart Carrera Slot Car Set for $99 hoping it'll be included in the deal, but now the deal seems live the BigW website listing for it just reverts to Toy Cars. Now I'll have to go into the store like some olden days shopper type so I can pick it up for my nephew (me) for Christmas (for when I get home)

  • Online as well! Prices on the website have now been updated.

  • +1

Hogwarts express removed from the online store :/

    Lame

    • Yeh really confused by certain things being removed from the online store just hours before this catalog launched. Will be interesting to see if the 20% off applies to those items in store. Was going to throw a few things on Afterpay but in store only will have to do now

    • Here it is

      https://www.bigw.com.au/product/lego-harry-potter-hogwarts-g…

Although I’d imagine it’s more a case of sold out everywhere from last weeks sale as all stores appear to be in the no stock.

  • Do Entertainment Book Woolworths / WISH gift cards still work at Big W? They make it very difficult to tell.

    https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/shopping/gift-cards/wis…

  • Y Wing back up to $299 then reduced by 20%. No double stack damn!

  • Anyone seen the LEGO champion two Porsche set cheaper anywhere?

  • None in stock near me but take your up vote.

  • All the big items are out of stock (at least in QLD).
    Checked about 5-6 $50-$200 models.

  • Just got mach anthem for 159 at Booval Queensland. So happy, thank you

  • WA Karrinyup has plenty of Star Wars UCS Y-Wings, Hulkbuster Ultrons, Forest Machines, Kessel Run Falcons, Ninjago City Docks, along with most of the smaller, well-discounted sets.

However, only one Mack Anthem was left on the shelf that I could see, which is now mine.
