WD Red 3.5” SATA HDD 4TB $152.10 + Delivery (Free Delivery with eBay Plus) @ Computer Alliance eBay

PYRO10

Good price for WD Red 4TB. The larger ones don't seem to be as cheap, relatively speaking. Can be found for about $168 elsewhere and looks like this is the lowest in quite a while. Wish I had the cash to buy more than one, but this should be good for my HTPC / NAS box.

Edit: Oh and I forgot that 1% cashback is available too

I don't envy the raid rebuild time on a drive array using 10TB drives.

  • Can i use this as a standard drive in my PC for day to day use or is this strictly for NAS?

It’s definitely ok for day to day use, but if that’s all you need it for then there are cheaper options like the WD Blue or Seagate BarraCuda

    • you can, but the standard red's are intellipower unlike the red pro's the run at 7200 rpm, I have red's and red pros and the reds are noticeably slower at times. You would probably be better of with a black if it won't always be on
